Was there actually a (legal) release of SWBF2 for mac?

I pick CIS, for infantry, cause i mostly play maps like cc and tat2. Their rifleman is really unique, having a rifle, a shotgun, and a rocket launcher. Their rocket class is equivalent to the emps, both of which i like (single powerful rocket, instead of 2 weak ones). Mortar is the most fun weapon ever, especially when its green. Not much to say about sniper, and i never use droideka.

Emps are my second favorite, mortar and rocket guy are fun, and scout is my favorite sniper cause he got single zoom. I always end up getting myself killed as emp jet though.

I cant stand the rebels. Their sniper is ok though, and wookie can be fun.

Clones are mostly fun. I have no problem with "jet noobs," jets actually do take skill to use correctly, unlike zappers. Zappers should be excommunicated.

I bought this game when i was in fourth grade and loved star wars, now im in highschool and pretty much could care less about ever seeing the movies again. I play for the battlefront, not the star wars.

Dont get me wrong, the original trilogy was great, but theres only so much enjoyment you can get from a movie, while a multiplayer game like swbf can offer endless hours of entertainment, with online games, tournaments, and talking and playing/competing with rea lpeople, as opposed to sitting in front of a television for a few hours watching a movie. Not to mention the huge database of mods and maps on websites like filefront, and right here on mpcgamers, which can keep the singleplayer aspect interesting with complete side overhaul mods (ATF, Main Play, etc.). Theres just so much more to be had from a game than a movie.

I'll definitely want to compete, although my schedule might get a big rough with school starting next week.

Not quite sure how i feel about the idea of CPing though, unless you disallow the use of specialty classes. I think jets would have an unfair advantage.

Ok. It doesnt crash anymore. I just got home from vacation, tried out swbf, and it works like a charm. There goes 4 hours of wasted time trying to fix some ghost problem.

tried deleting virtual store and reinstalling to desktop, but its still crashing. Pretty sure that my game is up to date now (1.2), cause i have a 1.2 readme in the swbf folder. Never got the installer working though. Also tried removing the unicow.dll and eax.dll from the gamedata folder, but that didnt do anything 

I would've tried installing 1.2, but every time i run the .exe it says star wars battlefront game not found, please reinstall. Reinstallation didnt do anything.

Hi everybody, it's been a while since i've been active around here, and some of you might remember me from MPC, so i was hoping to get your input on a problem i've been having for the past few days.

I just recently started playing swbf again after a 2 year break, and the game worked fine without a hitch until toady. Whenever i join a multiplayer server, i can play for a minute or so before the game crashes to desktop and i get battlefront.exe has stopped working (no issue in singpleplayer, it works fine). Ive tried reinstalling the game multiple times, disabling antivirus, deleting all profiles and savegames, and running in compatibility mode for windows xp sp3. Also, i never installed any of the patches, because it said something about not being able to find my swbf game. Everything worked fine without them until today thopugh. Hardware is probably not an issue, but heres my specs just in case.
AMD Phenom II X4 820 2.8 Ghz
6GB RAM
Gigabyte Radeon HD 6950 1GB
Windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

Thanks for reading this, and I would greatly appreciate any help that you can give me.

Edit: Crash only occurs when i join, not when i host. Also, i dont crash out of servers with unlimited health and/or infinite ammo.
