You probably need to glitch in the floors & walls to find it.

I do all of my modding on my EliteBook 8540w. It has 1GB AMD graphics, i5 2.5 ghz two cores, 8gb ram. It's more than enough performance to do anything I need related to modding such as ZE, Gimp, running BF2 on PC, or PSP emulator. I got this laptop used for about $150 and I put a 500GB SSD in it which was also about another $150 at the time I purchased it.

For more high end things, such as remastered mods, and other gaming, I think you'll need more power. I use another EliteBook, the 8770w model for all serious gaming, including BF2 + remastered mods. I got this used for about $300 several years ago and I slowly maxed out all the different parts. It has currently i7 3920XM 2.9-3.8 GHZ 4 cores, 16gb ram, and 4GB Nvidia Quadro. This laptop does *everything* I need. I can play GTA V at med-high settings with no problem, BF2 2017 at max settings with no problem. My only problem ever, is Zeroeditor. Something about Quadro graphics doesn't like ZE and ZE just won't run.

I won't necessarily recommend this computer because it's old and you can definitely get something modern with even more power these days. I choose not to upgrade because I personally don't like new computers, for several reasons.

- Too thin & fragile, no durability
- Everything is soldered, can't upgrade or self-repair
- Mediocre storage capacities
- Windows 10

Edit: I'd like to move to a different state soon. I am trying to save as much money as I can. If you're interested, I will consider selling you my current EliteBook 8540w model. You can contact me and we can discuss price or anything else related.

Here is all of the specification details:

Graphics: AMD FirePro M5800 1GB
RAM: 8GB DDR3
Storage: 500GB SSD - Western Digital Blue 2.5" SATA
CPU: i5-m540 2.5GHz dual core
Display: 1920x1080
USB: 2x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0, 1x USB 1.0
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
Other: Display Port, DVD Drive, WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, VGA, SD Slot, eSATA.

What can be upgraded: CPU, GPU, Ram, Storage, & DVD Drive.

This computer can play BF1 & BF2 at max FPS on low-med settings. BF1 and BF2 can be played at max settings but the games will lag on a per-map basis. I've used this computer to run any PPSSPP game at max performance + PPSSPP graphics enhancements. It does modding just fine, as I've said above.

Other Games / GTA V is free on Epic games
May 16, 2020, 06:41:41 PM
I don't know how long it will last, but GTA V is currently free on Epic games store, if anyone cares.
If you are not using a solid state drive... have fun cooking dinner while the game loads
Edit: I already have it on Steam. It's a great game for single player, but I've never played online, because most of the reviews were bad. Lots of people were complaining about hackers, modders, insane grinding, expensive DLC, slow loading, etc.

:o Oh Sweet God they added full controller support!!!!!! For years I struggled with xpadder and my xbox360/xbox one controllers and now I dont have to mess that bantha poodoo anymore. I for one see this as a plus ;D I hope they do complete controller support for BF2 classic eventually. SWBFspy is still better than the trash online right now though.

I've never had a problem using controllers on BF2. I've used many controllers without a problem - Xbox 360, Dualshock 3, Dualshock 4, generic bluetooth controllers, PS2 controller with adapter.

I've also noticed other things since the update:

- Max view distance / LOD seems to not be working. No matter what settings I choose, I can only see about half way across Hoth. I believe this can be fixed with mods by editing the sky file values.

- The game loads slightly faster. Previously I was using the "no load files" which skips the load animations, and it loaded a map in about five seconds. Since the update, the map loads in about two seconds, while still using the removed load files trick.

- There is no list of players when you highlight a session in the server list. I think in the old game, you would see who's ingame on a server before joining.

- Shell and common files for other languages were included, but they are smaller so I assume it's just textures.

- The .profile extension now seems to be .profile2

- There is some .ini file in the GameData folder with the contents [general]
front-stablizer = true
but I didn't test what would happen if we change it to false.

Something really has to be done. It's soo bad. I tried to play and my game screwed up about ten times in a row. Freezes, login issues, crashing upon loading. Crashing during map switch.
#98
I played for several hours. It's very laggy and unstable. My game froze while loading the session list many times and crashed many times during game play & loading next map.

I tested it with other players without a problem. Something else is messed up on your end.

For Battlefront 2 on PS2, we can now play splitscreen online!

How it works:

You plug two controllers into your PS2. You select splitscreen as you normally would. Once both players have chosen their profile, the main player presses start, as usual. Now this is where the mod happens. Instead of jumping to the instant action menu, it instead jumps to the "LAN or Internet" menu. From there, the main player will connect online and pick a server, as usual.

Once it loads, there will be splitscreen with two players, but you will be online!

Both players can play just fine but there are some bugs:
- Player 2 does not have a name.
- Player 2 does not appear in the player list.
- Player 2 does not appear in the server manager.
- Both player 1 and player 2 cannot see "admin" messages.

Here are some screenshots:

I tried the same mod for Battlefront 1 but it does not work. Player 1 can play normally but player 2 gets hung at the opening satellite shot.

I would like for an admin to leave a comment here and say if it would be okay for me to share the download link for the ISO.

These are cool. Would you do the textures for everything else? CIS, Alliance, Empire, etc

Because the steam version has garbage connection and garbage servers
#105
it can be changed on the server, but only one region at a time, but also PyroJockey made a tool that monitors the server and switches the region every minute (you wait to two minutes for it to come back to your region)
