Title: throttle lag

i was hosting with
/throttle 2048

but i changed to
/throttle 3072 
as led suggested however the servers are lagging more often. is the throttle causing it? i  am using batch files to host

2048 or 3072 is just the maximum transfer rate, at least as described in the dedi server documentation.  Unless the server is very full, you are probably not getting to either maximum level.  If you are hitting the maximum of 2048, I don't see how raising it to 3072 would cause lag.

You might be able to view your transfer rate through the NFO control panel to see what it is.

You could also try the other extreme--run a server with a very low rate, and see how it plays.
