It seems like webs.com is having some issues. I can not (along with many others) connect to any webs.com sites. Including these clan sites Alpha, PRO, GGR, 212, BVB Army or FC's . None of the sites seem to respond. Or any others for that matter. Are they updating servers or is this a permanent outage? Is anyone else having problems?

Hmm, I am glad this isn't the first time. Hard to think how they can leave everything down that long :dry:
I cannot access it either atm, my browser just keeps "Connection. . ." to it as if it isn't there in the first place.
Then I am redirected to "Problem Loading Page"

I am having the same issue. It just loads for awhile and then times out ???
Yeah, it happens sometimes. That's why we have an alternate site on shivtr (though it hasn't been used in like forever). With luck, perhaps some members will be on it today. Unfortunately, Ross made the site, and he's never on X-Fire alot, so if we were to get the site updated, he would need to make someone who is more active there to be an admin, and nobody kows when Ross is on. :P
Anyways, if other clans want to give it a shot, go ahead.

But yet your clan site is noted to be under the webs.com domain. Did you guys make a new website under a different website builder? If it's a private site for strictly FC, I can understand.

This has happened in the past for webs. This Yahoo! Answers question is from 3 years ago, and it gives a valid reason why this happens. :)

For anyone that is interested, I can set up a private clan forum board on SWBFgamers.com for any clan that wants one.
Website administrators will still be able to see it (which mean right now, JediKiller, SleepKiller, and me) but it would otherwise be a private board where rules on language, etc. can be suspended. (But no illegal content please :) )
PLA may move here if xfire continues is downward spiral.

Guys, webs.com is back up, I checked Alphas clan site about an hour ago, it's all up and running! :D
EDIT: Nevermind.... :dry: it was working about an hour ago, and it's down again!
On a side note, I'l have to ask Alpha Clan about your idea, Led. Our forums on the webs site are very active, and we have about 40-60 people on the site as members/limited members.
EDIT: Quick question, how does that work exactly? I remember seeing a thread with FF Fun Chat as the title, and it was said that you guys gave them a part of this site to use. How does that exactly work? Separate logins or something? :confused:

Keep in mind I'm using Safari via iPad, so I wouldn't know if this is the same for all other PC/Mac browsers.
EDIT: And it's back again... hopefully it will stay up for now.

Ok, Norris, that site is in no way in particular affiliated with our site. We still use the SWBF1 site alot, the SWBF2 isn't seeing alot of activity tho. Anyways, the SWBF2 link is here: http://www.alphaclanswbf2division.webs.com
And Joseph, we aren't entirely SWBF2. There's still me, Kiwi, Val, and soon Ultimo (once he gets his computer setup), that still play SWBF1. I admit we aren't totally active on SWBF1 as a whole, we only moved to SWBF2 to get more members and expand really. But since this whole Webs crisis is over, I doubt we would be doing Led's idea anytime soon.
So it's up for good (at least untill they need to do what ever they did again)?

Most likely, yes. They do it at wierd times though. Last year they did it around October, this year around February. Just saying, you never know when it will happen.
