Sereja Carbonite Freeze Gun

This is my Carbonite Freeze Gun.

Wow! How long did this take you! It looks like you pulled it out of the picture that twinkey posted. Nice job!

Is there an odf included that, when you shoot it, your enemy turns into a carbonite? :P

I think that's a bit of a stretch... but

Perhaps messing with the flame thrower ODF could create something similar...

So I'm thinking a the _flame.odf could induce a continual push effect to "disable" the targeted unit during infliction...
and then create some mad effects for the gun and it's done.

In SWBFII Dark Times II mod there is a grenade that makes a unit trip over themselves for like 5 seconds. And Napseeker came up with a dust grenade in his Empire VS Clones mod that made your character go all crazy.

Aha! So the idea is basically there already.
So we'd just need to locate his method.. and then make some Carbonite effects, which I reckon could be pulled off with some recoloured smoke.

That would be awesome. Though I think the carbonite freezing gun fires more of a beam then a icy cold mist type effect. Kinda like how sereja's side mod allowed you to charge your sniper rifle and unleash a brief ongoing beam. That effect plus making it so that it renders the enemy unit disabled for a short amount of time could work.

Well yeah, it would shoot a blue beam... and upon contact the target would be paralysed in icy fog... The charge could affect the amount of damage... or even amount of time the enemy unit is disabled maybe.

Does this count as derailment? BAH!

 :shrug: idk, haha. I certainly don't think it is, just friendly jabber. Well ive tested the model ingame, looks great. I could ask some people at gametoast if they would know how to achieve that.

The pic is lies a little bit, and carbonite tank clip, realy look's black in BFViewer, but in game, it's just cause specular effect.

Still, I am realy doubt, you can create freeze effect for SWBF. Push and Damage - that's all what we got. :(

You can do a "stun" effect with the geonosian sonic weapon.

Also, porchwookie made a mod with a "freeze weapon" but I'm not sure what it did.

Amazing as always sereja. As for actually freezing units, not sure it can be done. A push or negative push with an icy beam (spider droid laser reskin?) could maybe have a similar affect.

Some times when I gave my force push a low enough push, they didn't seem to play the fall down animation.
