Can't join N/A servers

I disabled my fire wall and did a re-install of the game neither worked.   I am not using a wireless router and am logged in as an admin. 


Does anyone know what "NA" means? is it a simple acronym for North America?  or is not applicable?


Any of you all know a fix to join N/A servers?

N/A= not applicable. NA= (possibley) north america

Sounds like you need to install the 1.2 patch.

There is no official 1.2 patch for SWBFII. This topic is meant to be in SWBFII right?

Could the NA be "Not Available" in reference to the ping when listing fire-walled servers?

Many of the NA servers (servers with no ping listed), are running mod packs or sometimes just a modded map.  You cannot join unless you have the expansion pack or particular map that the current server is using.

err, hold on--I though this was for SWBF 1 but I see it is for 2

UEF hosts fws with some modsmaps, so it isnt cause of that.l
Many times its cause of the low host inet and the operating system.

That will change nothing since the Unofficial 1.2 patch for SWBFII is a visual mod (pretty much a skin mod). The author just gave it a fancy name.

The background music does not even stop, the timer comes up gets to 60 and says connection to host lost.


Logging on with GameTracker Lite or Xfire is no help. 


Google searches and the Lucas Arts trouble shooting forums have not had any fixes on this.

maybe u cant just join them, as in SWBF1 When Gamespy was up

Have you tried the old Gamespy trick of making your own server, quitting then joining the NA one?

If its BF2, don't install the 1.2, get the 1.3 and like they sayed it could be that its a mod map map server and you don't have the maps, if where it says what the map is, is it in YELLOW font
