I remember there was a site that reviewed maps for Star Wars Battlefront 1, but I don't remember what it was called. IIRC most maps didn't have images to show you what to expect. I do know for certain however, that it used the exact same smileys that this site uses to help rate maps. I think that this is how it worked.
:cheer: 5/5 Maps that were absolutely amazing.
8) 4/5 Maps that were really cool or original, with little to no issues.
:D 3/5 Maps that were decent.
 2/5 Maps that were bad.
 1/5 Usually this rating was given if they map didn't work at all. Often awarded when the map crashes on start.
Does anybody here know what I'm talking about? I know that this map (http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com/file/Check_this_out;97693 (http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com/file/Check_this_out;97693)) got this smiley: 8)
We do have something like that on this website:

Pretty sure that's Ryan's thread you're remembering, which is the one Norwood's linked.
Yep, it is. As much as I like how there are maps here you can't find on FileFront, the descriptions don't always tell you what to expect, and its pretty opinionated. No pictures, but I can live with that.

The pictures were hosted on a mac.com site, that is now defunct. If you have the desire to update the reviews, you are welcome to work on them--just let me know and I will copy the information in a location that you can edit it.

Reviews for individual maps, or Ryanoceros' reviews? If I have info to add about a map, then I make a review, send it to you, and you can put it in if there was little or no information about the map?
I'd add pictures, but for some reason I can't seem to be able to take screenshots of any kind on the computer I'm using. I've tried pressing F11, F12, Prt Screen, Alt+Print Screen & Ctrl V (paint) and nothing seems to work.

You can update ryans review or make your own--but don't send them to me--make a post that follows ryans format or you can use your own format. P takes a screen shot in SWBF and they go in a special folder in the game directory. Pictures will need to be hosted somewhere such as https://imageshack.us/
and linked into the post using the image BBCode.
Idk if this is a bad idea, but if they're not 20 pucs, maybe u can attach them and edit the post with the attachments' url

The issue is that there may be 20 reviews in a post. I am looking into an image gallery mod.

Well, I don't think anyone will have to worry because I tend to cherry-pick what maps I d/l & play. The only maps I'm interested in playing are map that either have what I'd consider to be "staying power" (reason for me to keep the map), and there aren't many of those.
