I've tried it, but without succes.
This is by the way the window that opens when I try to load gameranger:

But the previous times when this problem occured, I just had to wait until the next update.
Then it worked again for about three weeks, so I will tell you when it works.
I will then be able to help to keep the online swbf1 mac community alive  :P .

Well the problem of "version mismatch" is solved: It's just that I tried to join a game from a PC user.
(I've already got that patch by the way since more than 4 years  :P)
There are still two problems left:

1) Sometimes (I'm experiencing this since the beginning of the time I began to use Gameranger)
for a month my gameranger doesn't want to load. It says: There was no response after connecting to the gameranger server, but a month later it works again, a month after that month it doesn't work anymore, etc.
and at this time it isn't working again ( I will tell you when it works again)

2) our time difference: I live in the west of Europe, that's a 9 hour time difference, so when you play when it's night at your place, it wouldn't be a suitable hour for me. But we'll find a solution for that  :)

I am currently active on a few other forum's and most of them have the option to insert youtube/xfire video's in a post.
That's a lot more practical than always sending links, so maybe we could also do this  :) .

Yeah, Marcus outbalanced the sides a bit,
but I think it is still possible for a very good player to win with rebels :)

I proudly present my first map idea which has come to life.
It has been made by Marcus, and has been completed by Sereja

The map takes place between episode IV and V.
The Rebels have lost their base on Yavin IV and have to find other safe places in
the galaxy to train their soldiers. One of those bases is located on Hoth.

A transportship filled with rookies is on its way to Echo base when suddenly it crashes into a mountain
range. There are only a few survivors. A pack of hungry wampa's is near the survivors and is,
attracted by the smell of fresh rebel meat, going to track down all the survivors.

known issues:
The wampa's always stare to the left, but that doesn't really affects the gameplay.

hints and tips:
- the rebels only have a limited amount of ammo, use it wisefully
- commander Skywalker was also aboard the crashed transport ship,though still only
  weak in the force, he can be very useful.

Well I would go for Endor,
because this forest moon really
has got a lot to offer for galactic tourists:

- endless walks trough the forests
- a life in the trees with the cute little Ewoks
- A beautiful view over the second death star.

Requests / need someone to make my side

Hello everybody

I need someone to make a side for a map project that I was thinking of.
Well, actually it's a quite old idea but I think the time has finally come to realise it.

I don't need an experienced modder. All the models/weapons are just inside the mod tools.
It would be a good start for someone starting with modding.
I think for an experienced modder it would only take less than 15 minutes.
So is there a good soul that could help me?

The map loses a lot of its charms, but most of the lag is gone

If it was about the special class I used the most I would choose the Dark trooper,
but since it is about my favorite I choose the Wookiee of course.

They're like a monkey with cymbals; they just need to be loved  :P.

Yeah, maybe you're right about the balance, so forget about changing the sides.
(however maybe in cw we can make a hunt mode with a giant army of Ewoks vs. some imperials)

Maybe we should split the work  :g:

Three things have to be done:

- The area around the bunker (which is like usual Endor but with less trees, bushes,... and smaller)
- The bunker area (which is like what RepublicCommando and Kit fisto described)
- Changing the wookiee smuggler in rebel side with the Ewok (and maybe we could also change the dark trooper with the Imperial officer)

RepublicCommando, Could you maybe do the area around the bunker?

I don't really know much about mapmaking, but I think that if you've seen Bamdur's video tutorials
I think this can't be too difficult.
