Hey there,

bufix#1

The problem
There was a problem with the script. It didn't know if joining or hosting a server. (Please correct me if I'm wrong)
(I think that's what the part I've added does. Telling the script, that you're not a host)

The fix [Shell -> ifs_main.lua -> replace it with the old code or download the attachment of this post]
Code (lua) Select

elseif (this.CurButton == "mpsb") then -- serverbrowser button
ScriptCB_SetAmHost(nil)-- [bug_fix_#1_-_17.June.2015] - We want to join, not host a server
ScriptCB_SetConnectType("wan") --V - set the ConnectType: not lan nor direct, it's internet!
ifelm_shellscreen_fnPlaySound(this.acceptSound) -- play sound because we're cool
ifs_movietrans_PushScreen(ifs_mp_sessionlist) -- skip everything and go straight to sessionlist

A little off topic, but the interface skin looks quite nice as well, is it a personal one, or can I download it somewhere?

It's not Lum3n's common.lvl
It's my personal one. But I'll share it soon.  :)

Hey there,

I've created a simple and small code snipped for everyone who wants just join a server and not navigate thru the menus.   ;)
This snipped adds a button to the startup screen: SERVER BROWSER

By pressing this button you jump instant to the sessionlist where you can join a server.

I've reduced the code to a minimum and commented everything. You can simply rename the button if you want.
Shell.lvl script => ifs_main.lua

The Button (here you can rename the button. after string= is the button name, don't forget the ")
Code (lua) Select
{ tag = "mpsb", string = "SERVER BROWSER", }, --V - add button to menu

The function [Line: around 360]
Code (lua) Select

elseif (this.CurButton == "mpsb") then --V - serverbrowser button
    ifs_sp.bForSplitScreen = nil --V - kill it with fire
    ScriptCB_SetSplitscreen( nil ) --V - kill it with fire #2
ScriptCB_SetConnectType("wan") --V - set the ConnectType: not lan nor direct, it's internet!
    ifelm_shellscreen_fnPlaySound(this.acceptSound) --V - play sound because we're cool
ifs_movietrans_PushScreen(ifs_mp_sessionlist) --V - skip everything and go straight to sessionlist

SWBF - StraightToSessionlist [@pastebin]
Any bugs or mistakes in code or in my english? Let me know.

(final clean script with just button and function added is attached)

Nice one.
I'm actually coding the same thing in C++  :XD:
But now I have more time to get the SWBFadmin done.

SWBFadmin v.1.5 Preview click me

There are two folders
SWBF_Ingame = What it's doing ingame (only interface hacks are shown)
SWBFadmin_Interface = How the SWBFadmin looks like

("ASM" in the ingame screenshots means "AlwaysShowMiniMap")

Hey there Folks, lum3n here,
I just started a new work of redesigning parts of the Interface in Star Wars Battlefront 1 and here you can see the first results.

It was Kind of hard, doing all the stuff in just 64x64 Px most of the time, but i think for the first release it's been quite well.
So far no master has fallen from heaven yet!

I'll continue working on the common.lvl if there is time for it and maybe some of you will like it!
I'd definitly appreciate it, so far thanks in advance and happy gaming! :-)

Greetings Lum3n

Does not work (for me), because the sources that the xFire gallery needs (javascripts etc) are gone. It does not load the images, only in a very low resolution.
Anyway, I have now all files of BattleBelk.

Man, what a shame. Xfire was a big part of SWBF.
Agree.

I have uploaded BattleBelks videos to my mediafire account. Here's the link [8 Videos =>150mb as .zip file]

Cull uploaded about 120 videos. I think we have to use the exporter here  :o
I have all videos of BattleBelk now, just the screenshots are missing.

@BlackWater,
try this link:

We should try to save cull's videos, battlebelk's, and any other important ones if possible. The SWBF community relied heavily on xfire for communication and now that it's gone we will have to find something else.

I found a way to save the videos.
You need this tool (it's possible without, but it's much easier with the tool) VideoCacheView
Every video you stream in your browser is actually already downloaded to your computer. Into the cache.
I saved almost every BattleBelk video:

 • Chameleon DT
 • Chameleon
 • Grumbling Tauntaun
 • Laser Party 2
 • Laser Party
 • Retarded Rocket
 • Sticky Nade

One is missing: (idk why, but this video is buggy in my cache and I can't export it to .mp4)
Wireframe ATAT

The screenshot gallery does not work for me. I'll try it later.

Edit:
If I got all BattleBelk files, I'm gonna create an archive and Upload it to my mediafire account and/or to swbfgamers if allowed

Hm.. does the exporter work for anyone? There are many videos I would like to download

Got always the same result after about a minute processing:

SWBF1 Modding / Re: Simple mesh needed
June 08, 2015, 03:03:11 PM
Alright, the texture is just a flat texture (like every picture you have an your computer).

In Blender I unwrapped the UV to a simple rectangle and applied the texture, if this helps you.

Don't make yourself too much work.

Edit:
It needs to be transparent -> the mesh.
But this is optional. I can hexedit it later and apply alpha channel to texture.
I need just the plane mesh in correct scale and position. Would be a huge help :)
