DylanRocket has uploaded a video of things he's found in various different earlier demos and betas of SWBF2004.

The interesting thing to note here is that for the first time we can see the beta layout of certain maps (and it seems the map we know now as "Naboo: Prototype" was actually the prototype version of "Naboo: Plains"). It'd certainly be interesting if we could recreate these maps.

Yeah, I just saw it and the layouts of the maps seems interesting. I didn't know that there was still content about the SWBF1 prototype (until now I had only seen the videos of the demos).

It would be really great to have SWBF1 source files about previous versions. :)

And good job DylanRocket!

Interestingly enough it seems some of the Alliance textures are 1024x1024 as well, though the Luke texture misses out his flesh hand.

I have an idea!

A massive-transport vehicle, able to hold 10 to 20 units, with absolutely no weapons, but high HP. I think something like this was shown in the battle of Naboo in TPM.

It would be great for XL/30+ unit battles, but, maybe it already exists, or doesn't exist for a good reason.

Unfortunately I think vehicles are limited to 5 seats.

Oh, that's too bad.

I have a fantastic idea that will bring a lot of nostalgia and qualtiy visual maps to BF2.  As some of you have read, I'm working on a project, to bring other maps from other memorable Star Wars games to BF2.  This includes Force Unleashed I & II (both Wii & PC versions), ROTS (PS2 Game), Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga, Republic CommandoJedi Outcast & Academy and perhaps Republic Heroes.  I've uploaded albums of ideal captures for what too include in order.  I'll attempt to make all the maps fluid while containing all scenes in multiple games in one map.
Maps that NEED to be made.
I'll be attempting these in order.

1. Coruscant Jedi Temple.  Inspired by ROTS game,Lego Star Wars, and Force Unleashed.  In the map needs to be the entrance, then leads to the open room shown in Episode 2, book library, Hangar, Jedi counsel room, briefing room, underground ruins, and area where anakin duals cin dralic and much more.

2. Bespin (from Force Unleashed wii) - Landing pad, streets, big interiors, Choppaa fight

3. Felucia (from Force Unleashed wii) - Big over grown plants, sarlaac pit, tunnels, felucians

4. Geonosis Catacombs: - The level of RC game when you go into the hives, also could include TCW tv show geonosian zombie scenes as an extension of the map.

5. Death Star - Inspired by Force Unleashed Wii version.  Could include throne room, vader and strkiller duel, Laser room, big hangers, passages.

If you are good at something, never do it for attention.
