I can confirm it's labelled somewhere as 1.1.2.2, and elsewhere as 1.2, I also have Jabba's palace (which really confused some friends of mine since they didn't think it came out for PC :D )

Although I hadn't tried installing the patch since, as you said, I had the non "Best of" DVD version.

Can I say it? It's awesome! I have to admit a few things really surprised me!  :o

To rename the profile just go to GameData->SaveGames and simply rename it. It should keep the file type suffix, but if it doesnt, do not change that. As for rep.lvl, go to GameData->DATA->LVL_PC->SIDE and put it there.
Thing is, there's nothing IN SaveGames. And okay, just replacing the original rep.lvl, nothing fancy there.

And if it was merely renaming a file, cool, but I've got modding skills to develop instead of satisfying OCD :D

Thanks for the help though!

SWBF1 Modding / Installing mods- need a bit o help
October 13, 2016, 09:30:38 PM
After scrolling around through tuts and other threads around here, I'm stuck! I've followed a tutorial, everything has worked, until it said install the file like a mod. Now, the file in question is a lightly modified rep.lvl file. I've been told to back the original up as well. What's that mean? are we talking I just replace the single file in one of the maps, or add in my fresh-munged map? I don't have anything other than that I've changed that file, and made a new project in bfbuilder.

I guess I've explained myself good enough, if not, I'll supply the info! Thanks in advance.

P.S.- Where can I find, or CAN I find, the user profile in the swbf game files, or change the profile name without having to reset all my controls?

SWBF2 Modding / Re: Jets and Weapons; How to Modify?
October 13, 2016, 07:56:23 PM
By no means am I well versed in what to do, nor qualified to answer (being that I joined today), BUT I'm curious. Well, few things: I assume the dark trooper and jet trooper use the same jetpack thing, so if so, I'm wondering how they differ and whether that would give some insight, since dark troopers go up fast, and slowly side to side as opposed to jet troopers going up slowly and fast side to side.

Just a thought, not that I really know anything about it!

Edit: And I just realized this is swbf2 we're talking about, which I've played naught more than a round or two at a friend's. Don't mind me!

Welcome Center / Re: Well, I'm new! Howdy!

Hoo! Fast replies! Thanks all, I think I've mostly found my way around, and there's always that search button. Got a zip with a bunch of tools and followed the guide http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=8.0. Seems to be working out for me, except now that I've come to the point where I drop the mod somewhere undisclosed (till I find it) :tu:

If I can somehow use blender for the models, I'll be in business there, although I dare call them "skills", Commander Awesome!  :D

About the CAD- I'd been introduced to it a few years back in a summer robotics camp or something like that, liked the idea of coming up with my own parts, and went home to find that the program was $500 :o So I played around with freeware and found I liked freeCAD better than all the other programs for a horde of reasons. Then I finally got me a diy 3D printer awhile ago and have been pretty happy with that.

Welcome Center / Well, I'm new! Howdy!

A long time ago, I walked the aisles of a local Staples. I looked down- BEHOLD! Star Wars Battlefront I. Two bucks. And thus began my countless hours of blasting clankers, crushing rebellions, capturing command posts and everything else you can do, just about! Which is why I'm here today!

As you can see, I'm tab328 (aka Herb or just tab if you prefer). Star wars is one of my many interests, so the original battlefront was a natural choice for me (especially at that amazing price, what could go wrong!).

I've been dabbling in 3D modelling, CAD, and the like; making things in blender, freecad, and a handful of other software. I began to wonder if I could put my (what I dare call) skills to good use to enhance my experience with battlefront, so here I am! I'll be reading up on how to get started, what tools I need, etc., etc.

I've got an older PC, but it runs battlefront!
AMD A6 5400k dual core APU (HD 7540D internal gpu or whatever included)
6gb ddr3 ram
dvd thingy
1tb hard drive
windows 10 anniversary
and a funny noise (fixed with a mild thump to the front)
