i could be wrong but sounds like a malicious proxy to me.
in internet explorer go to
Tools>Internet options>Connections>LAN Settings
make sure all of the options are unticked, and restart internet explorer.

chrome
Wrench menu>Settings>Change proxy settings>LAN Settings
make sure a proxy isn't being used here

SWBF 1 and 2 Tournaments / Re: Week 4 Fiasco
September 03, 2013, 04:45:21 PM
eddies kastell, i watched the video, it shows sp exiting by the corner of the building trees on the left building on right. he was not hugging wall whole way down just when he got to corner which he went through,(here is a vid where he shows http://www.xfire.com/video/60ecbb) this is a confirmed accident. no penalties suggested

russia, assuming hond and dp are telling the truth(seems to becoming rare for hond) about wusi being acting members of 1.0 for the war i think a rematch isn't needed. that being said some rules need clarifying i.e. if you are part of a clan that was in the tournament and that clan is no longer in it can you join as a member of another clan for remainder of the war?

harbor definitely needs a rematch as mentioned by previous posts both sides had rules broken. first yak's offense one of our players changed sides and stole a tank he thought was stolen by a jet. now for 212's offenses; they had more mercs than allowed(to be fair to bs, many changed to 212 tags after 1.0 match and could be seen as confusing to anyone watching the match), using jets and yes a jet did kill shazam as he was taking the cp there, there was a jet used further into the match, since no pictures were able to take a pic of it it's a moot point anymore.

majesty has been removed by yak already so no need for you to worry about that.

screenshot?
at the bottom right there should be a exit button(the patcher should be able to be moved by holding left click on it  and moving mouse) or if you can't access them just alt-f4 it

swbf openspy master server patch

http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=952

this patch will change your swbf gamespy server to openspy server.
(tested for 1.0 client and dedicated, 1.2 client and dedicated)
to install,
1. double click
2. click patch(recommended keep backup checked it will save a backup as battlefront.exe.bak just remove the .bak to restore it)

EDIT
a easier way to install the patch is to put it in same folder as battlefront.exe, run it, click patch, and lastly exit
3. when it says "can not find the file. search the file? click yes
4. browse to where you battlefront.exe is (default is c:program fileslucasartsstar wars battlefrontgamedata)
5.click ok

known bugs
1.0
none
1.2
when you go into lobby, you will hang at loading 100%,
to join a game you have to join, cancel, and join again.
ping is always shown as 9999
server stats are not shown when not using dedicated server tools
1.3
future testing pending

with patcher
some anti viruses may give false positive claiming it is a Trojan horse or a hack tool(they detect that it modifies memory addresses in the battlefront executable which it does modify 8 entries in the client and 10 dedicated server tool these all redirect gamespy to openspy)
-some windows 8 partitions display patcher incorrectly

if you have any problems to report or need help, pm me

your 1.2 uef server appears to not allow players to join via lobby atm.
the better solution would be a patch to the exe(don't have green light to release here yet)
#8
1.0 tested i got into pro server with no problems(applying my patch to 1.0 exe)
the problem you are having in swbf2 is because of hosts patch, hosts patch applies to everything that uses those domains
solution remove hosts patch when going to swbf2
#9
noted, direct connect doesnt have loading bug
#10
i have finished a beta patcher for openspy, would it be ok to post a link here when i finish with testing.

Just curios, do you think it's possible that we could eventually make this so that the user doesn't need to port-forward to join servers? Or is the port-forwarding only to host servers like with Tunngle?
yes, it is possible, it will take a while to debug the couple bugs in the server but this is still the best bet for new master server atm. the bug that requires port forwarding is natneg isn't doing it's job right
the delay for server list if it is a bug in the exe i might be able to fix it is in the lua I'll defer it to you(Phobos)
i don't think i'll get to finishing the patcher tonight, but i may hold off until i can include a couple bug fixes

here are a few basic notes.
1. when you click join it when the progress reaches 100% you can click cancel and you still will have serverlist updated(the bug is it tries running the script where it tries to checks server list multiple times causing a up to 20 sec hang otherwise)
2. due to a malfunction (i think it is in natneg) to join, click on server you want, let it load to 10 then press cancel, click on server again and join. if you don't have ports forwarded you may have to do so

also i have a program from back when spanky was running openspy that can change the hosts for any game that uses gamespy all you need is gsid of game in this case swbfrontpc. if the admins would like i could link or upload it.

:cheer: woot rage and i just played a little bit on new master server.
#14
i might make a patch for the exe in the future if this proves worth the time of making one.

go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts --open in a text editor

use the addresses replacing xxx.xx.xx.xxx with ip of new server

the protection used on original swbf exe is securom (5.xx.xxxx on 1.2 and 7.11.xxxx on 1.3 if i remember right)

there is no real protection on no cd

for openspy try these in your hosts
