So I just bought a new computer that is windows 7 model ASUS and when I try to install SWBF it won't install past Data2 on disk 1. I tried all I could with my computer knowledge so anyone have any ideas on what to do? Thanks in advance.

So I've been using this guide http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=8.0 for modding... and I get to this step:
Before you begin click happy exploring, right click inside the folder, select Properties, and uncheck "Read Only", so now you can edit the ODF's and save them.   

Now, find the ODF "rep_inf_clone_trooper". Double click to open. To some at first this may all look like a jumbled mess of words, don't worry, you'll understand it soon.

So I try to open the ODF file and when I do a window pops up and it says this:

Windows cannot open this file. FILE:  rep_inf_clone_trooper.ODF
What do you want to do? 1. Use a web service to find the correct program. 2. Select a program from a list of installed programs.
Anyone know what to do?

just registered on to the site glad to be in it

so with mod skins it says something like this: To install just replace the "imp.lvl" in your "LucasArts/Star Wars Battlefront/GameData/DATA/_LVL_PC/SIDE" folder.  Be sure to make a backup copy of the original "imp.lvl."  Enjoy BF1ers! So my question is how do you make a back up folder or copy? What i did was just created a shortcut.... that didn't work. So anyone know what to do???
