Title: [HELP] config.ini?
Post by: Snake on December 08, 2011, 03:27:55 PM
I did a troubleshoot thing on ZeroEditor. It says "config.ini was not found" anyone know where that is? I can't find it anywhere.

mine is located here
C:\LucasArts\BFBuilder\DataTEMPLATE\config.ini

make sure it is exactly there.  BFbuilder needs things to be in
C:\LucasArts

Also, make sure system files are not hidden.

If it is really just not there, let me know and I will send you mine.

Alright so I found it and put it right beside ZE then tried again in the troubleshoot program, it said the same thing "config.ini not found" i was like what in the world so I continued through the troubleshoot and it said that the only problem was that "zeroeditor is incompatible" what do I do about that?

well, lots of programs have config.ini

how about a complete wipe out and reinstall of the mod tools?

I was thinking the same thing.. I have tried that before I think but I will try again.

--EDIT

All that for nothing... added all the updates and everything also yet it still says that config.ini isnt there even though its located in the same folder) and that zeroeditor.exe is incompatible :(

My config.ini  I use for 1920 x 1080

Config.ini
[default]
startWindowed = 1
windowWidth = 1920
SkipLA = 1
windowHeight = 1080
screenFormat = 0
refreshRate = 0
maximizeWindow = 0
includeProperties = 0
journalMode = 0
valueMode = 0
valueLevel = 2
handleException = 0
doMouse = 1
showMsg = 0
msgWidth = 300
EOLocalLocked = 0
DefNavSpeed = 5
LoadLastWorld = 0
UseLayers = 1
LayerWindowX = 832
LayerWindowY = 0
ConfirmExit = 1
EnableEncounterODFSearch = 1
LayerWindowAutoSwitchSelect = 1
LayerSelectAlwaysOnTop = 1
MinLayerWindowWidth = 545
MinLayerWindowHeight = 306
ShowGroupsAtStartup = 0
ShowLayersAtStartup = 0
UseSlowcollision = 0
CheckWritableLayersAtLoad = 1

I also attached a reg fix that might help with zeroeditor.

When I use the reg file "Cannot Import, the specified file is not a registry script. You can only import binary registry files from within the registry editor." ?

What version of Windows are you using?

Can you tell me copy and paste into a post what path your config file is located in?

This
E:\SWBF_Mod_Tools\BFBuilder\DataTEMPLATE
should be this
E:\LucasArts\BFBuilder\DataTEMPLATE
Does anyone read the readmes and docs?

EDIT: And rember config.ini needs to be in each project folder.

If you put your customized config.ini in the dataTEMPLATE it will load that one for every new project. Also I use C:\BFBuilder and no problems. I think the important part is not having a directory path with spaces.
