Well my vote goes to the CoD series because they are just damm wickid. Most of that is because of the gameplay

You're missing Windows Minesweeper D:

Why is Harry Potter up there?

Harry Potter is up there because its also a game, i also got that game as most as the others

Seriously Verik. The games you own aren't necessarily the best games ever. You've missed out so freaking many it's unreal. Wolfenstein, Quake, even more recent games, Mass Effect etc. Hell, even World of Warcraft could be considered.

And the Harry Potter games were awful. Awful.

Noc's right, that's a crappy list to be honest.

and the minesweeper request was sarcasm if you didn't get it...

I concur with those above, it is totally ridiculous to even consider making an all encompassing "best-of-all-time" game list. For one, there is no contrast; it is hard enough comparing the qualities of a single-player shooter to a multiplayer that were made in the same year (such as Fallout 3 vs. Cod 5), let alone comparing games from completely different genres. I mean, can you realistically compare a 2009 game with a 1999 game?

And you forgot M.U.L.E, possibly the greatest game ever made.

Anyways, the best game ever made would probably have to be the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the N64. The game is probably one of the best I've ever played.

Crispy Gamer did a game of the decade bracket, and their voters chose Half-Life 2. Personally, my favorite game either goes to Super Smash Bros Melee, or Rock Band.

Hey but guys in this list im mostly talking about MAC GAMES HELLO!!!

Sorry, you didn't say "best mac game ever", just best game ever. Some of the games on that list aren't mac games either. I guess for best mac game I would choose SWBF or COD4.

allright ill change it! But for myself i like CoD 2 more then 4 i think because its of the time it plays
i like WW2 more then a new war whit bombs and stuff

CoD 4 is the only recent mac game that actually did well (there's wayy too many casual games out there). Unfortunately, cod4's over two years old for the XB360/PS3/PC, one year for OSX, and over a month old for the Wii (which was a horrible port by the predictable Treyarch).

There's less attention being put into the Mac gaming market which is near dead at the rate it is going. Bioshock came out 2 years late as well, Unreal Tournament 3 and Gears of War were mentioned, however not released for the Mac yet (UT3 is amazing). Wolfenstein wasn't even ported to Linux, let alone OSX. The PC market's also going down with cheaply made Console Ports (MW2, Operation Flashpoint, all recent Ubisoft games, etc).

It seems as if the Consoles are becoming the main focus of game developers today since that's where a majority of their sales are. This saddens me as the PC has always been superior over the console with custom content, greater hardware, and the advantage of the mouse and keyboard. Competitive Gameplay and Communities (MPCgamers for example) are also reason why. Now with companies relying on listen-only servers to make quick ports of games, it's a loss to their original and dedicated communities.

Bad Company 2 is attempting to change this belief around (and to regain EA's reputation) by having their PC version to be dedicated to their community, most importantly with dedicated server support. If the game proves to be successful at the end, it would be a great model of a AAA title that other developers should follow *coughIWcough*

Ehh... that's all I can say about this topic, go bash my response :P

Actually, the only company that is both PC and Mac reliable is BioWare.

Neverwinter Nights and KOTOR were both great games, and even though they came out a year late on the Mac, this wasn't felt as hard as with other games like COD: MW because NVWN and KOTOR were not yearly games, and there was still plenty of time to beat the game before the PC players got ahold of the next one. Mass Effect seemed to be a deviation from this, however Dragon Age: Origins was ported yesterday, only two months after the PC version came out, and it comes as a deluxe edition with a free in game item included, and that item can also be used on Mass Effect 2, so cross your fingers and hope they port it.

Blizzard.

Thats something that makes these forums bad- everyone thinks their opinions must be right, and they are the end-all of info on a certain subject.
