"Invisible" clone model

Is it possible to make a character model transparent like a CC skin i saw a while back? If someone could do that for me, thatd be great! I have an idea I'd like to mess around with.

Can the model also have some edge lines or something so that it isn't completely invisible but invisible to a quick glance?

make lowres invisible but the high res have an outline or wireframe tga so when you zoom in on it you can see it. should be possible with the proper hex edits.
