Why would you need convincing to get one exactly? I see a lot of people say "This still isn't enough to convince me to get an Origin account," or "This may finally convince me to get an Origin account." Now here's the thing it's quite obvious you've never actually used Origin from your statement. Now sure it by no means is Steam. Steam is this great piece of software with a bunch of fantastic features. And it also unifies your game library in one convenient easy to use place. But this doesn't make Origin a bad piece of software. For the purpose of downloading and playing games it works well. And the best part is often on these older titles you don't even need to have Origin running to play the games. Just start them directly the old fashioned way.
Oh no I lost myself there, again. Well basic point. Try Origin before you bash it, you should always give something a go before to bash it. Also there are actually a couple reasons why you should use Origin in addition to Steam.
A. Unlike Steam, Origin has a pretty decent refund policy.
