Other Games / Re: Batman/FEAR humble bundle today
November 05, 2013, 05:49:26 PM
I noticed this right away too, I think it's one of the best big-name Humble Bundles yet, and is WELL worth the (at the time of post, $4.53 average) price. I don't know much about the F.E.A.R. games, but the Batman: Arkham series is one that I've wanted for quite some time. Bravo to the Humble Bundle team and to Warner Bros. games for this package.

Can't believe I missed this yesterday >_<
I'm completely up for writing, as long as you've still got space :D

I got bored of it as well, so I waited until I had exactly 400K points and then left the ducks alone. Third time I would have had the highscore when my session timed out.  :slap:

Registered there as well (forgot to mention that :P).  I really like the Defend Your Stronghold game on there, holding record there too! :D
I got a score of 13... but my session timed out and it wasn't saved. :(
Dot Ops is the most clicktastic arcade game on the arcade IMO.
EDIT: I just spent 20 minutes getting a Duck Hunt score of precisely 400K when my session timed out :(

What type of comic book? Comedy? (Like Calvin & Hobbes or Garfield) Or action? (Like Superman or Batman) Or a mix of both?
I'm pretty interested in what you guys come up with.  :tu:
I'm down for both, I like the idea of banter during intense situations.

My art skills are pretty abysmal, but I would be up for possibly writing some comics :D

I have an irresistible urge to pilot one of these. Looks pretty dang cool.

General / Re: What are your favorite Star Wars books?

I've read the Legacy of the Force series at least four times :D. This is mostly because I only have about 20 Star Wars books, and I'm a huge reading and Star Wars nut. One thing I didn't like about them was that the focus flipped around with the author. Traviss usually focused on the Mandalorians and Boba Fett, while the other authors basically ignored him, leaving a big gap between parts of his story. :/

I think the issue is the hosting or organization, as both seem to be nonexistent for BF2 here. Unfortunately, I don't have the means to host a server of my own, so I simply wanted to find out if there was a hosted server or some kind of organized event. I am sad to see that there doesn't seem to be one.

I will freely admit, I own pretty much all of the old Jedi Knight games but haven't played most of them. The only one I've played is Jedi Academy, which I rather liked, but was no fun for me on any difficulty higher than easy, for the simple reason that I had no idea how to kill the all-blocking immortal Dark Jedi. Judging from the positive reviews on the original Jedi Knight games, I officially resolve to play them :D

General / What are your favourite Star Wars games?
October 22, 2013, 11:35:37 AM
I've seen that there's been a thread based on asking what people's favourite SW books are, so I thought, why not a thread for everyone's favourite games?

This excludes the SW: Battlefront series, as I have no doubt that would be the majority of posts.
So, what are the favourite Star Wars games of you lot?

My personal favourite usually leaps around between Knights of the Old Republic and The Force Unleashed (Original PC version). This is usually based off of whether or not I have the urge for talking to people and discovering new stories, or slicing people up and chucking them into walls.

If you want, leave a reason why your favourite Star Wars game is your favourite. :D

The way I see it, they should be scared. This is a big franchise, and if they mess up, it could end VERY badly for them, and EA.
We will band together, and chase them out with pitchforks and torches. They had best fear us.  :whip:

I feel as though they may not take many requests into account, as I have no doubt they have their own ideas for BF3. I would like them to, but unfortunately, I don't see EA doing a whole lot of request-taking.

So they are starting off by indignantly claiming "they" should have made Battlefront to begin with.

Cool. Cocky self righteousness is always a good way to start a project. Good Luck?
Ehh. There's no love lost between me and Ea (Dice included), and I'm going to wait until I see several reviews to see whether or not it's worth buying. If it's not, well, there's always BF 1 and 2.

I would like for a tournament to be vanilla, but I'm fine with any mappacks or conversion packs   :D
