I'm hoping for a proper campaign, oh and the clone wars era!
What are you guys hoping for?
Basically just remake Free Radical's Battlefront 3.
If not then I hope for the following:
-all 3 eras (Clone Wars, Galactic Civil War I and II)
-Space to Ground maps
-Better Instant Action and splitscreen mode
-AT-AT that you can actually drive
-More content (20+ maps)
-Less expensive
- Campaign across all 3 eras
-More "hero" related modes
-Mod support
I'm hoping it gets cancelled.
Set loadouts
More variety of weapons
Some close quarters maps
Customizable servers
Fewer game modes
No power ups (the main reason I stopped playing)
Only way I would consider buying it is if the following are included:
- More content being shipped with release (More than 4 planets)
- Have a better system for vehicle spawning/powerups
- The ability to actually gather your friends on a server and play a game
- Mod tools
I don't think there's good chances for my wishlist lol
- All content available offline.
- A campaign (though that's already confirmed AFAIK).
- -- Campaign missions replayable.
- -- Campaign missions can be played in online and splitscreen Co-Op
- Public server browser.
- Customizable gamemodes, like in SWBF2.
- Custom map/mode rotations.
- Vehicles acquired like in Battlefield and old SWBFs.
- Vehicles with multiple positions.
- Tanks for Rebels/Resistance.
- Space to ground mode and/or SWBF2-esque space battles.
- Larger variety of maps. We don't need 10 different Jakku maps. Keep it to 1 to 3 maps per planet.
- All three eras.
-campaign
-properly expanded instant action
-more content (if you're going to restrict maps to certain game modes then you are going to need a lot more maps)
-clones wars (or enough content to justify not having clone wars)
-it needs to run on my laptop (that is kinda a limitation on my end, not much they can do about it)
bonus for
+more customization (especially in instant action)
+being modable (lol)
and probably more. I'm holding them more accountable this time around....
And i certainly wont be pre-ordering this time.
The day EA/DICE allow modding or even give us some kind of official modding tools will be the day i will be turned into an ewok.
Though these are all things we expect, we all know it won't be the end result. It'll be the same cash grab as the last one. Even now, trying to look up stuff for Battlefront 1 is impossible, because all you get is the 2015 one in place of it. Battlefront 2 will be the next one to be replaced from the public view.

No we don't. Also, let me break things down for you:
- They already confirmed there will be a campaign.
- There is substantial evidence that there will be significantly more singleplayer content than the previous one.
- This is being developed by two studios instead of the one that developed the previous game.
- Official released concept art of the game suggests that capital ship battles will be part of the game.
So it's not as unlikely as you may want to think.

Oh, it'll be a cash grab, I don't doubt that. But you cannot expect to make the same game twice and get the same amount of money from it. It has to be changed and/or expanded to some extent or it will fail. Clearly EA are not idiots, otherwise they wouldn't be making so much money. :P

The only way they are going to grab
my cash is to make the game that
I want. And I know im not the only one that feels this way.

These are all valid points, and I won't be pre-ordering EABF2 because I don't want to be disappointed again.
They also need a better hack detection system.

I managed to get a reply from them when reporting with videos a cheater.
The answer was that they did not care about cheaters because that was on each player, so they were not gonna ban them.

what they want US to police that?
that's radar discussion 2.0 waiting to happen.
It's stupid how they literally don't care about their community enough to make a proper banning system.
It would be much easier if we had server browser and the ability to host our own servers.
I personally would like a complete game.

Now where's that like button...?
:fist:
It is now confirmed that the game will have a campaign, multiple eras and more heroes. So it's already looking better than its predecessor IMO.

If the campaign is like the VR mission then it wont be very repetitive.Hell today i replayed the BF2 campaign missions and still was cool.Good old missions. The VR mission is something that after 1 or maybe 2 replays will get boring. If all their campaign missions are the same style its nothing special actually. The multiple eras are actually just 2 eras GCW and the Force Awaken which is basically nothing new again. The only thing that can be good is proper instant action with hard dificulty bots.Thats all.So overall people will pay for that.

I'm not sure what you're saying here. You say it won't be repetitive but it will get boring? That seems a little self-contradictory. However, I've heard good things about Battlefield 1's campaign (haven't played the game yet, but really want to), and I've quite enjoyed what I've played of BF4's campaign, so maybe if they stick to their style(s) we'll have something.

That's unconfirmed. All we know is that one of the eras is the Sequel (TFA/TLJ) era. There's still the (slight) possibility of the Prequel/Clone Wars era. Also, the Sequel era is still something fresh and new in the series.

If it has decent Singleplayer, I'll be happy. I don't even care if the bots are any good. (I kinda prefer stupid bots anyway. I don't want a challenge, I just want to shoot things. :P)
Well they already have stupid bots in the first battlefront.I hope now that they can make them a little more hard.

But I wanna fight stupid bots with better graphics! :P
According to a recent announcement from EA, the new game will contain multiple eras. And a single player campaign.
I'm thinking that it'll contain the original trilogy era and the sequel trilogy.

I already made note of that above.

Probably. I'd rather have the prequel trilogy for Battlefront 2 and the sequel trilogy for Battlefront 3, if there is one. Who knows, maybe we'll be surprised.... GCW will definitely be in Battlefront 2 though.
Why am I the only person who want a mobile version of the game, it can be light limited to only instant action but getting a Battlefront for vita would be amazing even if its just a dream that's what I want but people don't even talk about that option and whenever I mention it they say "vita is dead". Oh really ?
I'd really like them to surprise everyone with a gripping campaign following a group of rebels with a great story. I'd like to see the life of a regular rebel and how hard it is to scrounge supplies, steal weapons and vehicles, and use guerrilla tactics against the Empire. Maybe throw in a good emotional setup with a scene of the main characters family getting massacred by the Empire.
For multiplayer it's already pretty good. I'd like Clan tags, more social features, server browser/hoster, shotguns can't have the addition of explosive shot.
What we'll actually get: a lackluster campaign with no new multiplayer features except one or two new modes and a lot more unlockables.

You'd have better luck with Infinity Ward/Activision producing that story than EA/DICE. They've never struck me as the type do good narrative stories.
Personally, I would love ground-to-space combat. They undoubtedly have the potential to push Frostbite to this level, though I guess the issue would lie in needing hi-spec hardware to run it well perhaps. Consoles may/may not be able to handle that quite yet.
Another addition I'd like would be as everyone else says, Clone Wars era. Seriously want to have a solid battle with clones and droids. Not that I don't enjoy GCW, but it'd be nice to shoot at droids for once instead of another stormtrooper/rebel.
Bot maps in singleplayer skirmish
--have the bots do at least everything they did in SWBF I
ie: repair / give medicine and powerups / build turrets /drive shoot vehicles, follow basic commands like follow/ bail out /pile in
and insure AI have Jedi Heros (in SWBF2 AI had no Jedi Heroes unless a mod)
--Insure all vehicles can be used by AI and shoot such as droid hailfire (AI did not fire weapons from Hailfire in Genosis map)
When the multiplayer servers are turned off or a squirrel KO's the Internet connection or a move to Icicle, Alaska means no Internet singleplayer will always be there.
