Change Melee Damage?

Is there any way at all to change melee damage from default 1000? I tried ODF code but it doesn't seem to override the default value which seems to be hard coded.

I do not think, it can be changed, but in "Death Star: Throne Room" map, by Maveritchell, it is so. I guess, he found simple trck: look's like, he just increase life of all infantry, to about 3000 or so.

Why this should be easy. Make a dummy weapon that uses melee animations and models have it fire a dummy bullet that is invisible and travels say one third of a metre. Simple really. For it to travel one third of a metre the Velocity should be 3.0 and the lifetime should be 0.1. I haven't tested this, but come on it makes sense right?

Hmm... Almost same way flamethrower works... But it's cud be very easy, to miss the enemy... Probably 1 bullet will be not enough. It should be a lot's of bullet's at once, with very wide radius of fire.
