im thinking of getting this game. im nto a fan of RTS tho and alot of you know what i usually play (hardcore FPS games). Would i like SC2?

Depends. I a zergs econ > a terrans. So if hes not harrassing, keep a standing army but just keep expanding till you can completely over power him. Harass if you want, but focus on your macro.

sc2 looks really cool but im not sure if it is worth 60$. I am trying to save up so i can upgrade my mac. idk i may take a dip into my savings.
