A premotional poster, for JDEE/BARC's SWBF1.5 mod, by -RC-
edit: It has better quality before I upload it...
An edited clanflag for Alpha Clan, with varied effects to make it look awesome:

After being inspired by making Droideka's forum signature, I decided to edit some Spartan IV armor, and this is what I came up with as the final result:
Very very nice!, we should have started this stuff, a long time ago :O
I mean seriously, a small group of people, could create a brandnew game with all the highrez graphics able to be produced!...
Hmmmm, I can create 3D games/executables, maybe I should see if I can get a team, and we can all make a cool game together!
Well, I know I've been doing this a while in Alpha, though you probably haven't heard. I made my own little editing studio, titled "Gold Man Studios", I still have an album on the Alpha Clan Pics Site. Anyways, here's my new logo, be on the lookout for that watermark from now on when I make/edit photos. :D

Link to my album on the Alpha Clan Pics site:

NOTE: Some of the stuff I made then may not look like the stuff I make now, but it still is all good. :P
Well, after taking a shot with Sharpshot's profile pic, I decided to have some fun... ;)

I actually use 3 varied apps on my iPad:
-PhotoWizardHD (for masking, blending, etc.) [$2.99 for HD, $1.99 for Regular]
-Phonto (for applying fonts to my photos) [FREE for both iDevices]
-Photoshop Express (I don't use it much anymore, but I still use it sometimes) [FREE for both iDevices]

Finally a Monster Hunter fan on the site! I've logged in at least 500 hours in MHTri... It's great.
I shall certainly be getting MH3G for the 3DS...
I do not own a 3DS :(
Love playing games where you beat huuuuge monsters. Shadow of the Colossus on the PS2 was amazing as well.
Here's another piece of artwork for Alpha Clan. This was originally intended for our SWBF2 Division, which hasn't quite kicked off:

Sorry if the image is big, it's just because when I intended on doing the pic, I had it on the Clan Pics site and it wasn't as big. :P
I love my 3DS, I worked so hard to earn the money to get that thing!
Nice style GM, you give me Ideas for a game...
Oh, and you might crop the image a bit, the access 3 inches is a bit large :P, just a suggestion.
Another thing: Check your Inbox in about 2 mins.

Checked inbox, and as for the cropping, I guess I could do that, but this image I had more in mind as a wallpaper than much else. :P
Oh, that makes sence :P
Good grief, I suddenly have the urgh to start modding O.o?!

You should try Dark Souls, thats got some good monsters but it's also known as being one of the hardest modern games which is why I've given up after about 20 hours. :)
Not allowed tp play that
Here's some Alpha advertisements I made, but were never used:

Nice Unit, I would like to see some of your Star Wars drawings... ::)
Most impressive Unit.

I like that city drawing more tho
Figured I would bump this topic up, since it's been a while since anyone posted artwork. Here's a new battalion logo for Alpha's battalion, A.K., the Assault Kings.

Looks good, I like the castle photo. Perhaps a few things to touch-up on though:
1. The water's "pale blue" near the castle does not match the dark sky overhead.
2. The water further out should also be contrasted a bit to blend well with the photo.
Other than that, nice work! :D

Nice work, Ultimo! :D
Also, another work I decided to do, this was mainly what I came up with in Photoshop Touch, after toying around with some of the effects, I ended up with something like this for my new look on the Gold Man Studios website. However, due to Weebly and their incompatibility with Apple products, and that I will be super busy the next few weeks, I won't be posting this on my website until at least a month or two from now. :P
I had some time after a long Algebra study, and decided I didn't like my original posters for the game I'm making.
So I created these variants.
Wow good job RC

If you want me to make that image into a userbar, I can do that.
Indeed sounds a lot cooler :)
Alright, I made two designs for ya, pick which one ya like:
Also, to insert an image, French, you would need to use the image button, which is this one: (https://www.swbfgamers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FqGIAD4n.jpg&hash=1333e1d1a1864bb8e43213dc7e82af7eb85ab8af) to put the BBCode up. Then, you insert the link to the image directly between [ img] and [/ img] (without the spaces from the bracket and the img). I would use imgur, since when you click on the image you instantly get the image and it's link. If you want tho, I can just upload the pics to imgur and you can insert the links instead. :P
I'm very confused now :o
I dont see that button anywhere...
EDIT:I see now I was derping out so much...

Lol French. Anyways, if you want me to upload the pics to imgur, so that you can put the images in your sig, I can do that if ya want me to. Unless you know how to upload the pics, that's cool. :P
Alright You can upload it since im to lazy and im really dumb when it comes to pictures and such
Alright, here's the links to those userbar sigs:
http://i.imgur.com/j5sAi4Y.jpg
http://i.imgur.com/tOtPjPw.jpg
Just place them between the [ img] and [/ img] parts and it's good to go!
Cool, so then I can just put a link into the picture and it works cool
What you're doing is placing the image in your forum sig properly with the forums code. Example:
[ img]http://i.imgur.com/tOtPjPw.jpg[/ img]
Now take out the spaces, and you get this:

EDIT: If it's possible, could someone please move all posts up to French's post after Unit's pic to the requests forum? I don't want this whole chat to take up some room on the Art Gallery thread.
K, I have accomplished this but now how do i put the url in :) To much trouble on your part for me but i thank you :)

Your work looks very retro, like 50's-60's era, though very well done.
Also, why are you using a tag with Neon's name on it?
Lol, well I made Neon's new sig and he was having trouble putting it up so I tried it on mine I just haven't had time to take it back off :P

Does anyone have a pic of just the metal backround my software needs a host pic to be able to make it.
You're in luck, I keep an extra copy or 2 of it stored on my Camera Roll. ;)
I would upload the original print, but the file-size is too big to upload onto one post. So, here's my makeshift of it. Forgive me if it looks bit tightened, though the original was much bigger, and I had to reduce the size to 1024x768.
Thanks Gm :D
I searched for a long time to find those specific types of metal texture/images, but couldn't find it until I searched "metal pattern" in google images.
Neat textures there.
I made another pic, I'll attach it this post :) Used metal background for something I kinda liked.

Hmm, it's interesting...
If you wanted to make it better, I would recommend blending the letters into the texture. I'm not sure if it's possible with your software, but how I do it is I usually type out the lettering in Phonto, go to PhotoWizard, mask out the lettering, and then save it as a .PNG so it is transparent for the background, but the lettering remains. Then, I go to my Blend option, insert the .PNG file I made, and then select "Overlay" for the effect. Then done, the lettering will appear overlapped on the image, save as your regular format (it's always .JPG for me), and you're finished.
Sorry if I over-complicated the instructions on that part. :P

I have a tendency to make things sound harder than they are. For me it's pretty fast, depending if the colours are solid enough for PhotoWizard to pick up and not mask. :P

That's really cool, RC. I might think about getting Sketchup yet, still not sure though. :P
Nice :D Pi <3
Yesh, the Style builders will let you customize the looks of things in a million ways...
I created my own work base template that I use to make SWBF models alot, and another for personal use.
You can add watermarks (several infact, and you can use them for more than just that), change lighting conditions, change 'floor' and 'sky' backgrounds (with colors, or photos from your PC(which doesn't add lag btw))
And alot more...
And now, with the 3D animation plugin...
Heck, you could make a new version of TCW with that thing =O
Well, I got Sketchup the other day. Just started toying around with some of the stuff. In short, I made my first ever attempt at making a good titlecard in Sketchup, here's the result.
Anyways, it's my first try in Sketchup, I don't expect myself to be a pro in 24 hours. :P
Believe it or not, you are actually doing better than most people I've seen start out wit Sketchup, they can draw a box and thats about it...
But remember, for making the really good art from it, practice scaling, and rotating your objects (especially guns or car models, those can be tricky), and then apply the style that matches the particular scene best.
After finding out how epic the Neon effect really is in PhotoWizard HD (yes, there's still some things I have yet to find out in the app), I had some fun, and for the heck of it, decided that Norris' avatar pics could use a little, freshening up. ;)
might be a lil off topic, but how did he get it to change every refresh?
Whoa GM :o I must have these :o Not sure why I didn't think of doing that myself earlier.

To answer your question, Ecko, Tirpider showed me a site that will make rotating avatars :D you can put any number of pictures into it.
Quote from: Tirpider
It's an online image host that serves random images from a collection.
http://www.randimg.net/
Edit: I tried putting the new pictures into image hosting site but it doesn't appear to work any more :/ at least not for me.
Glad you like Norris! :D I just figured your avatar needed something more. :P
Anyways, I was bored today, and having heard of SWBF2's Mass Effect: Unification mod, I couldn't help but make a sort of "title card" for the mod, as I didn't see one already.
The hardest thing for me about the title card was the "unification" part on the bottom. I spent a good 30 mins or so trying to get the gradience to match up to the Mass Effect title.
W. O. W.
It looks so frickin' professoinal...
Something I did just today. c:

Dang that's sweet! How did you do it?
With photoshop and a tablet. I still have the photoshop file and most of my process lol. I reduced the actual size to not take up so much damn space on this post.
First I started out with a thumbnail - a very rough idea of where things are gonna be and what the silhouette will be like:
Then I make a little cleaner and detailed rough over it while adding and removing some things to it/from it:
I repeat the process and get a cleaner one over that, I have to be sure of the details of it and keeping mind of the gesture :D
(https://www.swbfgamers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FZoP90rO.jpg&hash=55c0826ce9fe1e133cfd73ed4f134754ff81c474)
I decided to stretch the figure and move him a bit
(https://www.swbfgamers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FF11mssA.jpg&hash=99a27a6f29f45faa8e71cc946e5f4b035af3f84a)
Now I don't know where I messed up, but I was suppose to darken the figure and erase dark parts to match the lighting coming out of the lightsaber, but I messed up somewhere. I lost that part of the process but I made a quick recreation of what happened. I added a background in, I think.
Then I colored it from there and clean up a lot of the sketchy lines while making slight adjustments - I lowered the belt buckle and moved the arm back a bit:
I darkened the places not exposed to the light, giving it a three dimensional look and added a red tint over it to match the lightsaber color and I'm done. :D
That's some good speed painting.
You might want to take a look at some custom brushes if you haven't already.
Sweet, you should get a job doing that xD
thats awesome, i love star wars art
That was very well done. I would try my hand at drawing on a tablet, but I just can't do it right. I'l stick with my photo manipulation techniques.
But enough from me, that is some very impressive Star Wars artwork. It's rare that I see some very good Star Wars artwork, fan made nonetheless.

Tablets are quite difficult initially, it is hard to get your head around not looking directly at what you are drawing.
A bit of practise sets that straight. Plus they are way more comfortable for me to use, and then there's stuff like pressure sensitive lines and all those magical features.
EDIT: I suppose I haven't shared anything in a while. Here is a really quick thing I did in the last hour or so.
(45 minutes for the biro drawing, 15 for the speed painting in Photoshop to add colouration)
I was really tempted to make it a .gif and have something jump out from the darkness.

Yes, it gets very awkward having to look away from where you're drawing, but you definitely get used to it - it just takes some time. Since my computer failed, I got stuck using my laptop and really it's a little more comfortable XD
I have my tablet right next to the laptop as i sit in front of it, and my wrist feels better than when I was using my desktop... still need to get a new one...
Also, I tinkered with my Revan thing a bit on photoshop and came out with this:
(https://www.swbfgamers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Ffc01.deviantart.net%2Ffs70%2Fi%2F2013%2F122%2Ff%2Ff%2Frevan__revised__by_lich_that_lurks-d63v1kp.jpg&hash=672eea0d9616a313e62113a29aa79de40b33fb79)
I'm very satisfied with it :D
At one point I turned off a few of the layers while making this and I ended up with this:

Nice, I assume that's for your Battle Royale character? :P
Anyways, I guess I haven't posted much in a while, here's a fake company logo I had to make for my friend and I for our final project in our Info Tech course.
It was a bit rushed, and I admit I've had a block from creative ideas for some time, perhaps I need to lay off the cartoons for a bit.
EDIT: Me and my friend made some extra change with the gradients, now it looks a little more professional. :P

I thought I might draw a few of the chaps featured in the mod and put it together into a single promotional image... a bit like one of those 70s film posters.
There's nothing wrong with watching cartoons, to prevent a creative block you just need a
balance of input. Right?

Sounds like a cool idea, Unit, can't wait to see it!
And about that balance of input, hehe... Ever since some of my favourite cartoons went off the air, I've been stuck to watching older shows and burning through them in a matter of days. After I'm done watching my latest series (6teen), then I should be good.
EDIT: Done watching 6teen! (I only had 3 episodes left, but the ending is very sad... :'( ) Anyways, hopefully I can balance myself out now, ever since my favourite DC Comics shows left CN, I was hunting down older cartoons that I hadn't seen and started watching them (it ruins the suspense and longevity of a series if you can simply find the episodes and watch them all). But hey, enough of my cartoon chatter, I'l probably repost or update this post if I get some good ideas flowing.

I'm aware the images in the ground may not exactly be resized to their proper scales, but I did make it for Science.
Also, sorry if the Editorial description offends anyone. If Buckler/any moderator wants it taken down, I'l replace it with something else.
Here's a quick look at the in-progress high resolution Wallpaper for The SWBFGamers: Battle Royale mod.

Well yeah.
Tracing was used at this drafting stage, because I couldn't be bothered drawing 15 individual poses.
Obviously in the poses they are in now won't allow them to fit together correctly into a group-photo arrangement, so it will be distinctively more original by the final design.
So yeah, this drawing is essentially a guide to use when drawing the final piece.

I guess I'm way overdue to post here, but what the hey. I recently made both of these images today, so I figured why not.
The first image is a portrait photo of me that I had taken back in 2011 when my family went up to Newfoundland to attend my cousin's wedding. I had used filters on it lots in the past, and decided to use more colours than black and white and sepia this time around. The effect I really made myself, and then later used Phonto to add the text.
The second image is actually school-related. This is the flag that I had planned on making for our tribe yesterday in English (we're reading Lord of The Flies, and our teacher split us up in two tribes), however I didn't get time to fully create it. So today I made it and showed my classmates, and they liked it. I plan on printing it out over the weekend to use as our official flag for Monday.
Anyways, hope you guys enjoy!
(P.S: There's a subtle reference in the flag, see if you can catch it. ;))

Still not happy with the way the render is converted into something far less robust after screen capture..

Looks good, CC. ;)
Just curious, did you use Sketchup for this? Or did you warp the text in Photoshop?
i used xsi to generate the 3d torus (rendered in sketchup7 with a custom style) then the star effectg with microsoft image composer, and added the 2d letters in sketchup as well.
the planet is taken from my game engine beta level (space to ground map) and manuel shadow created in microsoft image composer as well.
Did this using just Mic.

I've noticed you really love the "rain" effect in your works. Tell me, how do you get it to work? I know it's a GIF, but how do you get the drops to appear like that?

Hmm, I'm trying to mimic the process in Photoshop Touch (I don't have the money to download actual Photoshop :P), however I've run into a slight problem. I've gotten up to the 4 layers with motion blur, but I'm not sure what those buttons are supposed to symbolize in the directions. I was planning on simply putting them in a GIF maker, but I don't know what to do, or if I can pull off this effect in Photoshop Touch. Perhaps you could help me out here, Unit?

I do not know the finer point of Photoshop touch, however a gif maker will suffice.
Superimpose those separate rain images you have created onto the frames that you will run through gif-maker and hey-presto.

I used all those frames, the problem is I don't know what to do after I have all 5 layers with their added effects. It says to open up the animator and mix them in somehow, but unfortunately PS Touch doesn't have an animator with it's software. So I had to use a GIF maker instead, but even then it doesn't work right.

Ah, you watch Revolution I take it? My parents do too, and I've watched it here and there. It's a good show, but there's just something about me and reality shows that I just can't seem to follow them constantly on. In any case, nice banners too. :D
Also, you're trying to build with Unity 3D? Cool man! I myself am learning C# in Computer Science 12. :D (I know those two may not have any similarities, but I myself have been thinking of working with either the Unreal engine, or the Unity engine. Any thoughts as to either engine's difficulty, RC?)
That's true, .jpg doesn't do transparents. .png does though. :P

And actually GM, if you look back through a few of the earlier posts I made, "Revolution" is actually a series my friends and I are doing (haven't started filming, just setting up animation studio- and writers aren't finished with first few episodes yet) through this next summer.
I started messing with Unity only a few weeks back, and very much love it. Having a troubled experience with other engines (if you can honestly call GameMaker a 3d engine..), I decided to move to something a little further than novice, and wound up using Unity as it is VERY intuitive and straight forward (as well as completely custom).
I've messed with Unreal engine before when attempting to mod SWRC, and I must say it is nice, but not exactly for beginners. I don't think I'll ever touch that engine again, it's just too complex for my needs.
I'm no expert, but I'd definitely go with Unity if you are going to do anything with game dev at all. (it has brilliant 2d setup as well, if you are looking for that).
Unity can utilize lots of scripts, but the two I've noticed the most are C Sharp and Java Script, which are very alike in my opinion. (Unity also comes with Mono Develop, which can edit those script types)

Very old artwork I did awhile back. I suppose I should share it :)

The name's Jack Red Cloud, mostly 4b, 2b and 2h pencils ( and a scotch tape to keep the outline clean ).

Nice cover, RC! Reminds me of Tron: Legacy a lot. :)
This was just something I whooped up in Phonto just now. I was thinking of that Unity project, perhaps this could be a working title for it? :D
That's good stuff.. I purpose that a series of most exceptional cover/posters like this be made for the project. It would help with moral while working (that and music is what makes me tick, I imagine lots of folks are the same)
It's funny, because I've always thought that extremely complex things were the most beautiful, but alas I was dead wrong. It's all just about how you arrange the art.. You nailed it with that one.

'Dirty' Collage / Digital Paint job.
Collage is a great way to compose an image, and in no less valuable than a scratch-drawing.
But it's mainly used to push ideas around or as reference for a later piece of work.
What I did here was vaguely trace a bunch of rocks, throw some textures around and paint in the rest, it's mainly about speed rather than quality. Try it out for kicks.

Tony? Hah man he goes way back. Don't know if you were ever familiar with Flipnote Hatena, but Tony was a character I started drawing back then under the name Surge. He's not a fox, infact I'm not sure what he is, but he's been my friend in drawings for years now. I've drawn him so many different ways, but what you see as my Avatar is my favorite. As a story concept, he's a sorta pet to one of my human characters, Elijah (I'll draw him later so look out for the post with him). I haven't really gone deeper with stories but I like the idea. Thanks!

AFNOR ( french part of the ISO ) call it demi-raisin.
A raisin format is 50 × 65 cm, this one is ~ 50 × 32 cm since I cut it manually.
To give you an idea, raisin format fits in this bag :

Great work, Syyy! Truly professional!
I'm wayy too overdue to put some stuff here. Had nothing better to do during a class today, decided to try my hand at Phonto oncemore and make some random typography work. I admit, I kind of like it.
Changed the color around on the other two, tell me what yas think!
Nice to see you STICKING with that. How did you do those when you were POKING around with the pic. Huh, Huh?

Hardy har har. :P
I was just thinking of the intro to some show or movie or something in that class. (Now that I think of it, it may have been the intro to Mouse Hunt, with all of those strings, or the crime drama Silk.) Anyways, I was just trying to have fun with the word "stick" (since it's part of my last name), and the images I made there just sort of came to fruition for me.
I've been watching a lot of Spielberg recently…
Can you recognise the films?

Nice work, Unit! :D
I know 3 of the 4, what's the first one exactly?
I know 2 of them, should I say them?
Okay here's the solution:
[spoiler]
1. Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)
2. Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
3. E.T. - The Extra Terrestrial (1982)
4. Jurassic Park (1993)[/spoiler]
Before I click the spoiler...
[spoiler][ol]
- The Adventures of Unit
- The Phantom of the Opera II: Battlefront
- ET go home
- Jurassic WAAAAAAAAA
[/ol][/spoiler]
How I felt:
[spoiler]Never watched Close Encounters *GASP*. So actually I think I got close with "The Adventures of Unit". Once I looked at the second picture again I realized that was the Ark. I felt like an idiot and see it clearly now. And the last two I got.[/spoiler]
1 hour of fun.

Here's Roger Moore:
that is a very impressive piece of work! Do you do this for a living? you could!

Dang man! I've got a thing for the old genres and styles. I don't mean to derail but it's so good I think this is right up your alley... http://news.distractify.com/people/amazing/modern-movies-with-old-posters/?v=1 (http://news.distractify.com/people/amazing/modern-movies-with-old-posters/?v=1)

I have seen a bunch of those before, there's some fantastic stuff in there.
I went to a great exhibition called '
Kiss Kiss Kill Kill (http://www.kisskisskillkillarchive.com)' which had loads of Cold War Euro-spy posters.
Here's something I've been making this week in vector [WIP]:
Thats really good! It reminds me of the game SpeedRunners.
Do you work on a specific software, or draw everything by hand and then make some colorization, Unit 33?
This particular image has been made in Illustrator, but it's based on a day's worth of sketchbook work.
Eventually I'll take it over to photoshop to add texture, because it's still quite flat.
Generally I avoid working 100% in digital because it melts my brain.
I really want to upload some illusions I brainstormed on my own and drew on paper, but unfortunately my scanner hasn't been working right...
Messing about with square brushes.
Bah here is something better!

Ryan's post is in the wrong thread, but gdh92 shared images of a shed he'd built... so art (at least in this thread) isn't limited to drawings. For instance, I think your cosplay would count, since it involves some form of artistry.
Mt bad. Didn't mean to put it in the wrong place.

No worries! Really, you can do no wrong since you made that fabulous custom map review thread of wonders.
I suppose that now is a fine moment to revive this cool thread.
I've got more arts! ~

EDIT: I've gone back in the thread and removed a lot of the posts I made, all of those with broken links. I had a bit of depression just before my summer break, and ended up removing a lot of the art from my DA account and from my computer. All the picture links became broken, so that's why I removed the content around them.
Got another one!! I finally got my scanner working so I was able to post this. Had it for years!

My new holiday avi.
Holidays are coming.
Here's a thing I did:
In light of holidays, it would be interesting if the sides of all the SWBFGamers pages were lined with those darned holiday lights
Seasonal avatars are equally effective.

Agreed. But either way, it's work I'm probably not going to put forward this time ;)
There is a holiday forum skin we can use, but its always a chance that something won't work correctly ;)
Because, "why not?"

Some kinda dystopian place.
It's 'Chinese', in that I copied some characters without checking whether they made sense.
Great, you may have just cussed out the solar systems rubber ducky while eating spaghetti in a swimming-pool.
I was going to look it up when I discovered my keyboard doesn't have the keys to press to type those symbols into google to find out.. I love America

Ah, I have a friend who knows Cantonese (not sure if he writes it though), might ask him if he can make anything from it when I see him next week. :P

Made an R2 thingy (in gimp)
edit- Added a light saber and tatooine backdrop.
Well, since I am a Post-Apo buff I re-made Fallout New Vegas's cover :):

Lol, well this is only my suit with a coat, and since my suit is almost identical to the Imperial Pilot's I bet it wouldn't be that hard to edit the character's model. (Well for anyone with 3d making skills, this is beyond my abilities, sorry)
I hate going back and seeing the crap that I used to be proud of. Here's what happens when you heavily edit the Samsung galaxy S5 background and add a sea, and pretend the whole thing is an oil painting..
