Hey guys im looking to get a capture card, and was wondering if anyone knows any good ones, good deals, what to look for etc.
Thanks

http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/ Seems to be the way to go if you want High Def capture (connects via HDMI and is Mac and PC compatible).

However this would require a hefty Mac Pro likely, and a good bit of money if you do want this i can look more into it.

If you want it at a lower price, check NewEgg for deals ect.

Now as you said on Xfire, you have a Imac, and honestly i'm not sure there are any capture cards out there for that, or laptops for the Mac.

I did end up going over with and explaining this over xfire, but for others wondering the same (because this method works for almost anything you want to capture to your Mac this is what happened. You basically have to use a external device (dongle) that attaches and records for the computer in place of a capture card, the higher end one i found (with little research) for 200 is the EyeTV 250

http://www.elgato.com/elgato/na/mainmenu/products/250plus/product2.en.html

and the second for 100 is Pinnacle™ Video Capture for Mac®

I think He said he will end up going with the Pinnacle for him, just remember this isn't all of the options, its two, these can be found for cheaper on Amazon or other sources likely, so shop around. Hope this helps others with the same problem.
