http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=1437

This pack contains everything u need to play online on SWBFSpy.
This update is only for Steam users.

Here's a tutorial-video: https://youtu.be/ZwjeYRJINBg

Backup the new steam shell.lvl and ingame.lvl first.  Backup your BattlefrontII.exe.

How to install:
Extract all the .zip folder into the GameData folder of ur game located here:

C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonStar Wars Battlefront II

Let me rephrase it:
The SWBF2 Battlefront Exe goes to GameData folder, the rest go to the data>_lvl_pc folder.

I must be an idiot because I cannot get this to work..... I have had to reinstall the steam game about 3 times now, that takes awhile it's a big game....  I had to do this because after doing all of this I couldn't play the game at all, not even from the original steam folder,  not the backup or secondary folder....

Have you watched the video ?Did you really backup your files ? Cause if you did, I do not understand why you'd reinstall the game...

What this file does, is to replace 3 files.

Please, elaborate more what you're doing.

1st I make new folder, then I entitle it swbf.  2nd spend close 1/2 hr locating my steam folder.  3rd once I find it I look for the BF gamefolder,  then gamedata thelvl. something and so on... 4thly I put the 3 new files(from the link you all provided)  paste it into the swbf(new) folder).   Launch the game and no go.. no swbf servers....

I might have missed a step I took...   Hope this helps

The issue must be happening with the extraction point

Extract all the .zip folder into the GameData folder of ur game located here:

C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonStar Wars Battlefront II

I cannot seem to get it to extract to the (new) folder....

Extract it to a someplace else and copy the files into the correct location.  You probably need to give administrator privileges to copy into the game location.

Sorry I couldn't reply before:

You do not need to make a new folder, since the files you're about to extract will last there just a few minutes until you move them to their appropriate place.
You can locate the folder where we suggest ---

The exes must substitute one another, so you must not have 2 unless, you rename the original one and/or make a shortcut of the new exe. After all shortcuts are just shortcuts, not the exes themselves.

Then you have to go to the LVL_PC Folder to paste there the shell file (ingame is an extra file, but it is not needed). After doing this, you can execute the new battlefront2.exe and it should browse servers.

Well, if you do what I said, at least you wont have to download your game through steam any more if it gets messed up  ;)

It should be noted that the 'ingame.lvl' file is not necessary for the conversion, and that it changes your field of view upon use.

That file has caused confusion and problems for people in the past. I thought it would be a good idea to label it in the folder or something.
