A game update without the content update seems great. I'm not sure about including mods with it though. How would helpers be contacted?

Your game folder needs to have GameData inside of it.
You can install the game anywhere, I have mine in D:\Games\Star Wars - Battlefront\

Don't use the downloaded EXE. Use the Steam EXE, and hex edit it to use the community servers.

A remake would be illegal and get stopped by Disney. However, a reimplementation is legal and possible. The thing about reimkenentations is that they require very detailed knowledge about the game engine that I doubt anybody in the modding communities has.

We would have better success attempting to start a reimolementation of BF2.

I've been playing both factions in both wars on these maps, and while it's usually a good experience, some areas have major issues. Polis Massa allows humans and wookiees to traverse the outside asteroid, without taking damage as they should. AI does not function properly here either, they all clump in a few areas, leaving most of the facility empty. While i did not encounter any borked collision here, i fell through the ground multiple times in multiple areas on multiple other battlefields.

Tantive IV was great to fight in, it brings about an experience no other battlefield can, and it is my favorite conversion by far.
