Title: Any way to get rid of 9999 ping servers?

I'm just wondering if thier is any easy way to get better ping for SWBF servers? I can only get 9999 ping.  8)

For PC servers that go through Gamespy, the answer is that you must not have your server be sitting being a router/firewall.  The NAT translation does not work.

This was not always this way, but a change last year in the way Gamespy does things messed it up.

So, if you don't want your server to ping at 9999, then don't use a firewall or router.  Unfortunately, this is not practical in most situations.
