First, try re-downloading the file. It may have prematurely cutoff while downloading the first time around.
(Yes, if you are doing many operations at the same time as downloading it could get cutoff prematurely.)

If that doesn't work, check to make sure you have 24 or less maps in the addon folder.

If that's not the problem, try opening the map file and look to see if all the normal files are in there. (Compare it to a map that you know work). Sometimes when decompressing a file some things within the main file don't decompress. -- Try decompressing the downloaded file with an alternate program. I use Stuffit Expander. Works every time for me.)

If that doesn't help, I don't know what else it could be other than a system conflict of some kind. All I can say is I played both maps earlier and they do work on my computer... although the sjk1 map only works on the PC side of my computer (using Parallels, and Windows 7, and my BoPC version of SWBF).

Some maps just seem to be finicky. Not sure why that is.

PS.
... oh, and one other thing. You said you re-installed SWBF, so maybe you still need to re-install the game upgrade, to the latest version of SWBF. That may help. Some maps might not work on version 1.0.

Ok, it should work for him then.
He may have had a corrupted download, or too many maps in the AddOn folder, or something like that.
It should work okay though.

I haven't tried those two maps in awhile. But as i recall, the sjk1 map used to work on my old operating system, but once I got OSX 10.5 and then 10.6 it no longer worked. Are you using mac or PC?

... I'll have to re-try them this afternoon. I'll let you know what happens.

Edit to add:

Just tried those maps.
The SCS map works fine for me (Both Mac and PC).
The sjk1 map only works on PC, unless you are using OSX 10.4 or earlier. It won't work on 10.5 or 10.6. But it works fine on PC. I just took a few pictures of that map. (I just added 4 pictures for the sjk1 map.)

No, that's just a new map I found on starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com.
Didn't mean to cause any confusion. I always make a post at the end of the thread whenever I add a new map. In this case, it just happened after that conversation.

Added Map:

TDV ---- Tatooine: Death Valley (Beta)  :tu:

(This is not the map from the above conversation. This is just a new map I found, so I'm adding it to the list.)

No, I never saw that map before. That's hilarious, when he slides down on his belly. lol
If you find the map be sure to upload it and I'll add it to the list.

Those are just different side mods. Some pictures were taken using the All Troops Fly Mod, and some were taken using the Stargate SG-1 Mod. Maybe a one or two taken using other mods.

Thanks.  :)
I'll be okay... Broke, but okay.

I'll try to fix up the links when I can. I've been dealing with some medical issues lately. I'm slowing down a bit.
But when I can, I'll try to fix the inks to direct people to the links here.

Quotemaybe we could add ti to Ryan's topic since it isnt already there.

Yes it's there already. It's the same link for all the maps, so there's nothing to change.
This is the link that has been there all along for all the maps in the pack...

I guess he just re-posted it, but it's the same link as before.

Okay, Jedikiller, just let me know what you come up with. :)

QuoteIs there any new maps to be found?

The latest release is the "cto" map made by Jedikiller. It's a swbf2 conversion map. It's pretty good.

I think napseeker made those. I'm not sure anymore. Anyway, you may try asking him to re-upload them (If he did make them).

I just tried to play the maps again, but they no longer work on my OSX 10.6.x system. Don't know why. They used to work on osx 10.5.x. That's how I got the pictures of them.

Maybe JK or Hardcore have a working version? You might try asking them.

Oops.

I thought that was the link for the map. But that is the swbf2 version.

I downloaded it. I tried to play it but it doesn't show up in the map list.
Any suggestions, ideas?
