I'm still trying to figure out how to play on PS4, and use the controller, I'm new to PS4. But I like the game. There are a few things I'd like to see different, but the graphics are awesome. And the maps are much better than on the old SWBF 1/2. The different games (fighter squadron, etc.) are a good idea. Challenges are a good idea too. Not very fond, though, of the advantage some people have for playing a little longer... just a few days makes a huge difference, in fact too huge. I hope it levels off a bit over time.

Are you playing the PC version, per chance?

No, On PS4. And I really suck at the hand controller. But even when I'm blasting them in the face they survive shots nobody should be able to survive. I was thinking they have some kind of immunity-to-blasts card, perhaps.
Anyway, I wish I had the PC version, and parallels with Windows... Oh heck, I really wish they made a mac version.

There is a star card for that...

(unlocks around level 25, it is called explosive rounds.  It is in my standard loadout.)

Yeah, I got that card already. Still, how can they take so many shots and survive? That's what really bothers me. I shoot till my gun overheats and they don't die.

There are times I'd swear that I'm firing nerf bullets while all the other players on the other side are firing nuclear tipped bullets. I can unload a clip into the other guys head, and drop a grenade down his throat and he's just fine, and he turns and fires one shot and I'm dead. :(

The only thing I'm not fond of is that new guys online don't get the same weapons as guys who have been around for awhile. We're nothing but Bantha Fodder in combat until we can earn the weapons and jet packs, etc. It should be equal, or more equal, to all players, imo. Still, it's awesome and fun anyway.

Benn playing it on PS4 most of the day. I'm completely lousy with my controller. Much better with keyboard. I'll have to fiddle with my sensitivity settings I suppose. Still having lots of fun. Love the graphics.
BTW, I'm Ryanoceros876 on PS4

It's a matter of testing it out yourself I'm afraid, and that test would of course involve gambling on a PC copy of SWBF as well as buying a copy of windows...

I still have an old copy of Window 7. I'd just need to get the latest version of Parallels to run it. Well, maybe I'll just wait until someone else tries it out first. ;)

If you want a clan to play with, know that =AaTc= is recruiting PS4 players.  ;)

Okay, thanks! I'll keep an eye open for it once I try out the multiplayer mode. I just got it yesterday so I'm still figuring it all out. I'm also nearly-new to PS4. I usually do all my gaming on Mac.
Thanks again.

It has been achieved on a Mac Book Pro using BootCamp, but upgrading the graphics card might be necessary. I'm very tempted to test it out myself when I find the time.

I have a Mac Book Pro, but I also have an iMac, with a AMD Radeon R9 M290X 2048 MB video card. Is that adequate?
That would be very cool to be able to play it on my iMac. I'd be one happy gamer. :)

Lock and load, guys! :)
I'm playing the PS4 deluxe version now. It will take time to get used to it, but I'm loving the graphics for sure.
Hopefully one of you computer geniuses will figure a way to make the PC version work on a MAC. If so, I'll buy that version too. I prefer the keyboard to the hand controller of the PS4. But this is still awesome on PS4 too.

Just bought the PS4 version. Loving it! the graphics are awesome. Having a little trouble adapting to the hand console compared to the keyboard for the computer version, but still it looks great and I'll get better at it. If I ever get around to getting my parallels for mac, and windows, I'll get the PC version... unless someone has already figured out how to make the PC version work on a MAC?
Anyway, happy camper here. Love the game!
BTW, nice to see you all again. Look forward to many great battles.

Okay, sound good. Maybe we can have the mac folk play on GameRanger, separate... assuming they still have BF1 on GameRanger. I've been out of the loop for awhile.

Hi guys,

I got your message Buckler. Good to hear from you. Sounds like fun.  :tu:
Is this going to be for us Mac users as well, or just PC users?
I'm still using the same old mac I had back when we were all playing on GameRanger.
Do I need any special instructions, maps, etc and where do I find them?

Awesome! My computer is old and slow, so I had to use the stock mission lvl, but what a great map. This is a map that I wish was made a long time ago. Very well done, as always.  :cheer:

I just added it to the Custom Map Review. Nicely done.
