Counter Strike Problem

Okay so i bought it and started downloading around 6PM EST.
And it was taking a long time but it was okay.
Around 11 i started trying to get to sleep, and reguraly checking it.
around 12-12:10 it was maybe 300-200 MB close to done.
So i come back around 12:30 to check, and it still has around that much to go, which got me confused.
Then i realized my computer was frozen.
So ive tried restarting steam and stuff since then a bunch of times, but basically, in my games library it says "Counter-Strike: Source - Download Starting"
However, when i go to installed games, it's there too.
When i try to play it, it says "Steam servers are currently busy, try again in a few minutes"
Its been saying that every time for the past 12 hours basically.
However, L4D2 works to play.

One more thing, on startup (every one), steam has to "validate" CSS, which takes a couple seconds, and it does the validate thing again when i try to start it.

Delete, and re-download completely. I had a similar problem with TF2 when i got it.
