Title: External HD space problem
Post by: khy on September 18, 2010, 12:49:15 AM
I have a pacie 1 Tb external hd.
I currently have 65 Gb left. I'm not sure why, but that's not the problem.
I have over 150 full games of cod (video recordings)
That should take up at most 500 gb, so I'm not sure what  is taking up the rest...
Again, that's notthe problem.
The problem is when I transferred 6 clips from my external to iMovie, I lost 3gb.
6 out of 150 games transferring to iMovie took me down 3 gb. I'm not copying the files, they're being directly transferred so I'm confused on why it takes up Gb.
I need help on this ASAP.

Umm... Not expert but usually when i think when you transfer something to iMovie it has to recreate the file again on iMovie's data therefore taking up more space... But i could be wrong..

For the first time, Soap has provided the right information. That's a highly useful tool that may find why you're running out of space.
