Am I the only one who noticed this?

I have been thinking about this for over a year.

Not much of a question, but how come you can detonate your recon droid at hoth in SWBF when the shield generator isn't blown up? Shouldn't the game makers have designed it so you could only explode them AFTER the shield generator was disabled? You would have thought Pandemic and LucasArts would have thought about that...

I may need a SW nerd to answer this.

Technically you are right. But for the game's sake it's easier to have the recon droids call down the orbital strike.
