L4D2 over crossover runs at a good rate, plenty well to play the game and much better then anything else crossover runs. its nearly 100%.

Problems being that you don't have the overlay so no ingame chat, and if you click on a message someone sends you while your playing it can and almost always does crash the game.

hmmm no chat would be annoying, but I think I could put up with it until they port L4D2 to mac.
What if I ran it in Windows through chat would work right? But would it still run well is the question I guess.

Blizzard games are addictive, dont get them if you're gonna be in college.
CoD4 and L4d2

That's a very good point WoW addiction has been a problem for me before. luckily atm there is a lul between expansions and so its not as much of a draw for me. But yea when Cata comes out it could be a real problem.

Well believe it or not this was not a help me decide what computer to get thread it was a help me decide what games to get thread. And if the computer is faster it isn't by much. mine has more more RAM as well as a faster hard drive. But even so the reason I am getting a mac is because I like them better and find them easier to use, also they look nicer. So really, quit trying to convince me to get a PC it's not going to happen lol. I don't like Windows operating system.

Led Zep: I think as far as college material goes they are about even. the main reason I'm going mac over PC is ease of use. in my experience PCs are a pain in the butt and its not like I haven't given them a chance, I even bought one at a point ...and it got a trojan of some kind and started smoking. Anyway, lets just say I'm set with my decision to get a macbook pro and stay with it :P because I am :D.

JK: Ok, ill ask him if he doesn't post on here pretty soon. The processor I'm getting is 2.66 ghz though.

Actually I'm not really getting the computer for gaming I'm getting it for college. And college comes before gaming. But even if I was getting it for gaming I would get a mac, I can't stand PCs.

JK: I look forward to L4D2. Do you know how well it runs in crossover? and I would just be getting SWBF2 for the single player aspect, I never really got to play it that much, I played it like twice at a friends and so a lot of the single player stuff I haven't ever experienced. And that laptop you posted has the same kind of processor as the one I got :D.

Mike: not really sure I understand what your saying, sometimes the things you type make no sense whatsoever. But if I understand you right you are saying that I should to something fun that will turn in to something that I will like more than anything and you are also saying that college is to important for playing video games? To the first thing: video games ARE fun for me and they ARE one of the things I like most in the world. And to the second thing: LOL! have you ever been to a college party lol?

Led Zep and Epifire: Sweet, thanks for your input  :moo:

Nikoli: I hate PCs lol but thanks for the advice anyways lol

ag: I think the fact that steam is out for Macs now is a good enough reason to game on one by itself, plus there are all the Blizzard games. And If I really want to play a PC game there is always crossover.

This isn't true. The people who went to play WoW were all older than 20 (Myself, Weili, Wrath Raina, Ghost, Creamies, Nightfalcon) with the exception of Millionaire (who was more mature than the rest of us anyways). At the time we began playing, the median age of poster on this forum decreased dramatically, and I can speak for Weili and Tim that it just became pointless to talk to middle-schoolers all day. And actually as I recall, Maxthemace was a prime example of the immaturity that cause our exit en masse.

Technically, we couldn't have been playing WoW instead of posting, because our prime forum hours were from 9-5 while we were at our very grown up jobs. WoW was always played in the evenings (with the exception of Weili who played from his desk at times), so what you really would have seen less activity in was the DC's and game ranger.

Sounds like you're trying to prove your age and maturity awfully hard.  Does being older and wiser than other people really matter that much to you? It seems like every thread I look at you are saying something that has to do with how old you are and how smart and experienced you are. So you are older than the majority of us would you like recognition for that great feat? All I did was post my opinion don't get so defensive lol. Who is being immature here?

If the database of swbfmac is still around somewhere you can check that out. I know I do, I was here the month it all started.

I was playing SWBF on game ranger and it said "customs at swbfmac.com" so i went and downloaded every map they had at the time. But I had no idea how to install them, luckily GDArtworks walked me through step by step.

I still think GDA was the best swbf player I have ever seen. He played dirty but who cares, he won.
