I enjoy racing the best.
Not sure, you enclude all types of video games. I like 3rd person games, like Tomb Raider etc. In such games, you need long time walking, crawling, and climbing, usualy in some spooky and beauty places, avoid deadly traps, searching for some keys, which lead to some other keys, killing some scary monsters by the way. So, its probably some mix, of action arcade, quest and puzzle.
Sports over anything!! (except SWBF1)
I like FPS's, strategy games, sports games, and singleplayer RPG's/action games. So I'm not that picky :moo:
FPS are awesome, especially in multiplayer mode. But sometimes I like to chill with a nice RPG. I love the old ones most (currently playing Gothic 1+2 again). And a nice evening with pizza and some Wii games is also not to be disdained.
I don't see "LEGO GAMES" as an option?! :'(
:P

Eww Lego games
Lego games are ok, not great, but, ok.
Don't you say a word against Lego games, they are AWE-fckng-SOME. Well maybe it's more girly. Haha. Used to play Lego Star Wars with my sister for like 24 hours, 7 days a week. Nah, but it is fun. Even though it was annoying, sharing my beloved keyboard with another player. Grml.
Anything with explosions.
Also since when is "Lego games" a genre? :P

Ha! I was joking but now, that has my vote! :P
Yeah I thought id do it for laughs
While I've been playing fighting games exclusively for the past couple of years, I've now been enjoying a plethora of different genres! I enjoy shooters, racing games, and especially sports games! Open world action games such as GTA and JRPGs are also fun to play with the latter always being great mental challenges.
ATM the main games are bo2, 2k13, and sleeping dogs. My friends have convinced me to get live so in a week or so I'll be playing multiplayer again. :)
I play pretty much any type of game as long as I enjoy it. Oh, and Lego games are almost a genre in the way that they're the only high quality game that's marketed at children. :)
Lego games are fine, I just don't like the controls. The battles can be little lame too. But lego games, all in all, are not bad.
This topic oh the inhumanity of it all. You haven't even listed most of the proper genres here! And a few incorrect ones as well. Also Lego games are mainly Adventure games. A better list of genres you can find in the game world.
Action
Adventure
Strategy
RPG
Indie
Massively Multiplayer
Platformer
Casual
Simulation
Racing
Sports
Sk, the lego part was a joke. And the genres I left out belong in not mentioned above.
I personally like warfare games. I've come to have a strong liking to SWBF, so, yeah, warfare is my fav. Don't get me wrong, I like LEGO games as much as the next guy. :P
Thought up a great mod, instead of people characters in swbf, have lego characters! Why didn't I think that up before?

The Lego games are fun.
I dig the bouncy walk animations and brick expolsions.
The retail version is so much better than a mod could ever be.
-edit... btw, voted warfare, but wanted stratagy added to it.
Sorry if your favorite is not up here. I tried to just pick the most basic ones. Now a days there are combinations of genres, if I did them all we would have 387432 different ones to choose from.

I too like the LSW games, I own the LSW trilogy you could say. :P
As for the warfare with strategy thing, that would be awesome. A game where you can make a difference on the battlefield, and off it at the same time! Like coordinating guys while in the heat of battle (on a grander scale though). :D
There is one game that might be like that that comes to mind, its where you play as a toy soldier. I tried it from game fly and HATED it so I barely played it. Im not sure if you do play as someone shooting but it might be worth checking out. Also there was a stratagy star wars game.
Tribes had field commander options AND was a full-on riot to play.
Sierra released it for free somewhere (no link handy) but it's a bit of a chore to get working online now and there are only about 20 die-hard players left. Still working the same 5 maps for the last 15 or so years. :(
The new Tribes is a failure at capturing the spirit of the original play, but still looks like a fun game (though I don't know how the command structure works in it now.)
-edit
It was a joy to script for Tribes, btw. It used a simple c style language and allowed for custom huds, bots, ect...
If it were still active, I'd still be playing and scripting for it.
