Requests / Re: TCW Obi Wan SE3 body texture missing

I wasn't paying attention to the different clothes. Here is the correct one. It was in assetsW_000.pack.

I understand. When the path isn't clear, sometimes all a person can do is make a new path.

Sure thing.

I'm not doing anything though. Save the credit for whoever gets this guy to work in-game ;)

I tried adding the regular body texture to the V2 material file (.mtl) thinking the author simply missed it. Well it was exported without a meaningful UV map. So no body texture for V2 will work unless you remap the UV's for it.

Attached are the files from the CWA pack. It's 2 separate models (head and body). I included an obj of each, but the first set in the file you linked has an obj with head and body already together. It may be more suitable for your purposes. Both need to be rigged with bones and such, so perhaps not.

Requests / Re: TCW DC-15 carbine 3d model?
October 06, 2016, 03:05:32 AM
A useful cross reference? A CWA_Extractor is mentioned and linked.

SWBFGAMERS: TCW ships 3D model needed msh,odf and tga's.

edit:
Yeah, that's the correct extractor. A little quirky, but the instructions in the above link will open them up fine.

edit:
I think what you are looking for is Wield_BlasterRifle_DC15S.
It's pieces are scattered across the various pack files. I attached a zip to this post containing all I could find in the Asset_00* files. (I didn't open the AssetW_0* files because I am lazy.) But not too lazy to go ahead and save the dme as an obj for ya.

edit:
A side note, incase anyone in the future reads this: Noesis can open the dme file, but it gets the UV's for the texture wrong. Flipping may help, or not. 3D Object converter 5.20 opens them with no errors.

WineHQ has a page for it.

WineHQ - Star Wars: Battlefront 1.2

Sorry I cannot offer any more info than that.

Troubleshooting fun. I'm in.

I've noticed a sort of 'time out' where unread posts will stop showing up on the show unread posts page after a day or so. Maybe longer. I only noticed the behavior and never timed it.

The forum index page will still show indicators that a particular subforum has unread posts.

I alternate between staying singed in and not.

edit: not much for troubleshooting this  though. I've no insight into how the forums guts work.
Guess that's my post for the year.

Thanks, Led.

Bought the bundle (knowing there would be leftovers) and came straight over. No one should miss out on KoTOR. EaW ain't bad either. Lost count of how many times I played through Forces of Corruption.

I was going to buy these games, just waiting for the right moment, which apparently is now.

It's a great deal to get all of them, but those two are the ones I like best.

There are some shenanigans to coerce x-wing into playing nice with a modern machine. X-Wing comes with the classic and Special Edition. Classic ran wonderfully for me in the DosBox setup Steam provides. The Special Edition (with all the improved graphics from Totally Games) didn't even want to start. The fix is to use a community made ddraw wrapper.

Handy Dandy Details on the steamcommunity forums: http://steamcommunity.com/app/355250/discussions/0/620712999979153740/

I used solution 1 (the XWA wrapper) since it supports X-Wing, Tie Fighter, and Alliance. Just a simple file replacement.

I remember having really good luck with games and Windows 98 Second Edition. SE added a ton of stability fixes and DirectX 8.1. DOS games (ie, the good games) didn't care though, so I had the autoexec.bat/config.sys set up with custom boot menus for them.

AMD gave me a Via motherboard with a K6-2(333) for being a "product expert" (answered some quizzes on their site), and I can't remember if I got a 3DFX Rush or Banshee (was definitely PCI though). I remember I didn't have to dl anything special to run Unreal like my buddies did. Performance was passable, but not fantastic (that volumetric lighting was awesome though). After letting the magic smoke out during a horrible overclock effort, got a K6-3(450) and a VooDoo3 which made Tie Fighter sing. Traded it all for a crummy laptop and a copy of excel.

MIDI connection for Joysticks and gamepads, 5 pin din for the keyboard (because the old keyboards didn't have trouble with multiple key presses), 28.8 connections (even though you were paying for 56k)... I liked gaming a lot more then.

Oh yeah, if it says it was for a Compaq, then the disc definitely isn't there. They all had restore discs.

Looks like an OEM package (it came with a computer and not off the shelf.) So It might have the CD, but it might also just be the COA and the actual OS is on a restore disc somewhere (most likely). That restore disc would be pretty useless without the PC that matches it.

Any indication of a manufacturer on it? (Packard Bell, Compaq, IBM, Toshiba, I don't think HP was making a lot of desktops in the 95 days, it's been a while so I forget. If it was an e-Machine, the early ones were coveted for being generic in their parts and including actual OS and driver discs instead of those silly restore discs. They started in the 95b to 98 era.)

Whether the disc is there or not, the license should work if you have to track one down. I don't know if there were any changes in the keys from 95 to 95b though. 95b was better because it had native USB support if I remember correctly. I remember wrong a lot though.
