Title: Modding the localization with hex-editing
Post by: Cdt Fox on December 14, 2015, 03:42:40 AM
Hello,

I want to know if this is possible to change the weapons names by Hex-editing one lvl file...(I have heard something like modifying the cor lvl file, good?). I think it will be the same BF1 or BF2 but if this is not I ask this question for bf2...

You probably can. Just know that when hex editing, the new name must take exactly the same number of bytes as the old name.

There should also be a localization tool that you can use too.

I think it is core.lvl.  You can search for an existing weapon name to make certain.
