Hi guys, it's a long time I wished to start a project like this. I'm planning to make a mod including TCW series content (it's supposed to be legal now i think) and bringing up all the things we fans of the series loved about the TV show. Its structure would be similar to BFX including a working Galactic Conquest mode, a new era (i'll need a lot of help with that) and new maps.
Those are the units i planned to include until now:
GAR units:
- Clonetrooper
weapons: DC-15 carbine, DC-17 pistol, Meele Attack, Thermal Detonator;
description: basic trooper equipped with a fast shooting but short range carbine.
- Assault Clonetrooper
weapons: DC-15a, RPS-6 rocket launcher, Meele Attack, EMP Grenade;
description: heavy trooper equipped with a slow shooting but long range rifle.
- Clone Sniper/Marksman
weapons: DC-15x rifle, DC-17 pistol, Meele Attack, Autoturrets;
description: sharpshooter equipped with an extremely precise sniper rifle.
- Clone Engineer

I'll need at least one year to set up the mod decently. In the meanwhile if you like TCW i suggest you checking Cdt Fox's Ultimate Side Mod: it doesn't include the same features I'll include but it's a great mod btw! http://www.moddb.com/mods/cdt-foxs-ultimate-republic-side-mod

Soon I'll release the alpha version for the testers and some screenshots about the classes  :D

So the map is not mine, but the sides are completely edited by me. I have to thank also El_Fabricio for his awesome Pong Krell assets and DEV and Cdt. - Ehm... Sir, there are Tactical Droids in Sereja's Umbara: Forest!
- Impossible, the probabilty of that is 10003 to 1.

As you can see I equipped him with a Sonic Blaster, but it's kinda different from the Imperial one and it's really funny to use!

Also the clones and all the organic creatures can regenerate their health!

Please I need very good-hearted people, I'm stuck because I'm trying to make msh models I can't find anywhere (obi-wan, anakin, ashoka tano and others) but my converted mshs suck really bad (also I can't make a cloth). So please, please if you are able to make the simplest conversion help me or this way I'll never release a thing! I'll give you the .tga and obj files already converted and even partially aligned with bones, so it will be as easy as possible to work on them! I'm really new on this kind of modeling and I'm not the fittest guy to make a hard conversion like this. Also these models are very requested in the community and will help many other projects! I'll credit you of course, if is necessary I will even PAY YOU or do WHATEVER YOU WANT, but please help me!
By the way thanks to everyone who helped me figuring out at least how to import and export msh files.

If no help will come I think my project will sink like a little Titanic.

I think there an asoka model that THEWULFMAN or in Marth8880 made ypu should ask them.

Edit: Obi-Wan and Anakin models were in ForceMaster_09s battle of teth map in bf2.

It's so impressive that even knowing how old the SWBF engine is that modders can still manage to make the units look like they're from a more improved engine.

I just adore these models, just like how I adore Commander Fox's ones in his mod.

When I started my mod, I already known that it wasn't the right name, Benoz is using the same name too in is project.  :rofl:
I always loved shocktroopers, especially Fox, but well, I disliked "shocktroopers" and "Coruscant Guard" as official names, just because I like that I've decided to call them the 63rd Republicain Guard. ;)

We talked about that, and Benoz is a fan of this name too, even if he didn't precise why.

It's a cool name though, but I prefer use the term Shock Trooper because it's used in the series so  :shrug:

I've just been testing on the map of Umbara, and I noticed that the gun on the UI is sticking out in the middle of the screen.

I'm not sure if I can post a screenshot of the bug.

Though, in the read me file you put in it states: "or take screenshots and share them where you want though" and as this is a bug report.

But, overall this mod is so fun at this time. I like all the different units and could I also get a list of the new units you have and which planets they're on?

I also have something that you could improve on, the mini-gun on the jet trooper would look much cooler if he was holding it with two hands. I'm not sure if that's possible or not.

The map was converted by Deviss and I'm not really into map editing so I don't know how to fix that sadly.
For the 1st person animation for the minigun I'll ask Luke what I can do ;)

that's because I can't find anywhere kinetosimpetus' first person dual pistols, the link is broken :/
So until I will figure out how to make/find a working dual pistol animation for first person consider that a placeholder ;)

Even when it's 3 v 1, the clones always come out on top!

That's a though choice, since the shocks would be pretty neat, but they never really fought on Mustafar; on the other hand Clone Magma Troopers are not canon and are definitely not shown in the cartoon TCW series. So what should I choose? Have you other options? These are my ideas:

a) Shocktroopers without Thorn and with the Emperor as hero

b) Wolfpack and Ploo Koon as a hero

c) Custom-designed Magma Troopers with 501st Jet Troopers, 501st commander and vip trooper 2 and Ashoka as a hero

c) EA battlefront based clone magma troopers with random vips and commnders

d) others

You could use C for the appearance of Ashoka once you get her finished. It'd be the first time seeing the hero.

You could use C for the appearance of Ashoka once you get her finished. It'd be the first time seeing the hero.

Actually ashoka would be available also on tantive iv map.

Btw, the Venator map is so fun!! If you get a trooper with a mini-gun to go into the droid controlled area to just mow em' down!

Also, are Magnaguards suppose to regen health or barely lose health?

No I don't think magnaguards should REGEN health that would unbalance the mod. Think about the logic in the star wars universe. Humans can heal small wounds on there own examples scabs, cuts, ect. Droids can not repair themselves only humans or other droids can repair droids.

I think 12Bros is trying to make the Magmaguard barely lose health because 12Bros has given magnaguards the ability to block blaster fire and light saber attacks.

However that is for 12Bros to decide. Despite me being second in charge for the CIS side.

Well, I was using the 'jet trooper' (Which turns out to just be a trooper with a chain-gun) on the Venator map, and did barely any damage to the Magna Guards whilst giving it the full power of the chain gun. Only a grenade/Plo's lightsaber could kill it instantly.

1st question how close where you to the magnaguard.

If you were pretty close to the magnaguard your blaster bolts will probally be deflected if the magnaguard blocks which the AI of the managuard is programmed to do when your close.

NEVER EVER get to close to a magnaguard!

A side note from me

I find that killing the magnaguard with the chain gun is easy just don't get to close to the magnaguard because it will switch its weapon to the electrostaff and probably 2-4 hit kill you...

Well jedi can instantly kill any droid except for a droideka while it has it's shield up.

It was standing outside the first control point owned by the Republic on the Venator, so not that far away from it.

The mod is going very well, but in some maps, like Coruscant the game closes alone, first person works not also, and some heroes like Plo Koon are full of errors with the blows, the Droid Commando unit when we press R he flings a grenade the instead recharging your side gun.The CIS and well unbalanced, the clones have regeneration which favors and the side of Republic.Im just summarizing the mod, but if you want details, say that I will detail each map for you.
The clone drive that carries a heavy machine gun "sorry I do not know the name of the XD gun" when we run to him, it seems that he holds a pistol  :td:

Edit: Heavy Trooper has a bug to throw the grenade, so does Thorn
Ashoka has the voice Ayla Secura
one thing that I found very strange is the lightsaber of the temple guards, they are very small as well as the sword of magnaguards :confused:

About the health regen to me it's fine, because most of the CIS units (like SBD, Magnaguards and Commandos) have higher health than clones and do Pretty huge damages.
About all the little bugs and glitches, they are Pretty hard to solve but I and Lit will try our best.

Got some more screenshots, I also noticed that when it gives you the option to play Plo Koon on the Venator it comes up with the notification telling you but his name is not next to it. (See Screenshot 4)

That is what the 1.3 129 patch is for, you can disable rewards

My patch settings make sure I get no Frenzy rewards and buffs and all that annoying stuff

After playing the latest Alpha, I've only found a few bugs:

The mod should be localised, i.e. all weapons and characters should be given their full names.

For some reason when I spawn as Yoda on Tantive IV the map crashes.

There was an issue with with Anakin's character model on the Polis Massa map ( see attached.)


Other than that the mod was really fun! When do you think it will be officially released?

Weird that doesn't happen to me when I spawn as Anakin in polis massa . What is your texture settings in the game high or low? Set the textures in video settings to high...

YOU MUST HAVE YOUR TEXTURE SETTINGS SET TO HIGH OR THE MODELS WILL BE BROKEN...

I am afraid that you haven't downloaded or installed the 1.3 version, because Yoda and that ugly Anakin skin were there in the prev alpha. :/

Yeah back to the topic athand..... could someone whose able to make animations fix that issue with the one handed z-6 rotary cannon movement and firing? :P I would but I don't have knowledge in animation rigging and whatnot

12Bros, I think my Super Tactical Droid will be done after you release alpha 1.4

Meaning the first CIS hero is Kalani for alpha 1.5, also it is your choice to determine which map Kalani should be on.

In the next versions I'll try to implement some recoil so that you can still stump droids but you'll have to be accurate.

Hey guys, I think my version of the alpha is bugged. The 501st is meant to be the batallion on Pollis Massa right?

Well, I get the 104th on pretty much every map. Oh and the campaign is the 104th instead of the 501st. (I don't mind this, but there's only a few maps where I get the 501st: The Umbara map)
