Welcome to SWBFgamers

First, just to understand completely, you want to host a PS2 SWBF2 game without the dedicated server software?

or PC SWBF2 game without the dedicated server software?

And, another question for you--are you familiar with "port forwarding" on your router.

Thank you all for the welcome!

Either way I can work with it, although non dedicated might be easier to just start up and play since there's barely no setting up at first (almost) but I can work with both! It's on the pc, steam version.

Yes, I am, I've done it a few times

I tried using this: http://www.moddb.com/games/star-wars-battlefront-ii/downloads/star-wars-battlefront-ii-v11-dedicated-server

(Can I post links here?)

U sure can, but I've split the topic and moved it here to not go off-topic and get the problem solved without any random "welcome" message  ;)

That is for the dedicated server.  My understanding is that you did not want to use the dedicated server.
If you do not want to use the dedicated server, install the client patch for SWBFspy (if you have not already done so), make sure your ports are forwarded, and create a game.

There are a couple of others in addition to those.  I will see if I can find them.

forward ports 3658, 3558, 4658, 27900, 29910, 29920, and 6500 to the computer from router

The port 4658 isnt really necessary as it is for the RCON port which is something the PC uses "internally" to differ from the info of other servers. Make sure u port forward the port assigned to the swbf2sm, though.

Clear ports 3658, 3558, 4658, 27900, 29910, 29920, and 6500 on the computer and the router (if used).

They're all free except the one I created for 3658 as you can see in the pic

How do I assign a port to swbf2sm?
