The Battlefront Community says Hello!
« on: April 22, 2015, 08:19:50 PM »
Hello!  Just stopping by from the Battlefront Community (BFC) at http://theswbfc.com

Snake stopped by an PM'd me asking if he can post on our site, and told me about this one, it's good to see more people appreciative of the old games.  We are primarily SWBF2 PS2 players, although I'm one of the more senior members and played SWBF1 online PS2 with clans like ECU and SWA, and later into the game with GAR, CLO, and KOF before things started dissipating.  We invite you guys to sign up at our site regardless of what game interests you.  We are primarily a competitive site, hosting ladders and tournaments since 2007 for SWBF2, and now working towards SWBF3 (or just Battlefront I guess).  Our site is new and is still missing a few things, but if you catch any bugs or see anything that could use a tweak, let us know.  Like what I see here.  I'll try to stop by more often, and hope to see you guys around.

Thank you, and I appreciate the offer Led.  We are working on increasing the popularity of teamspeak with our guys, some of our guys are a little more old fashion.  Our teamspeak server is theswbfc.com for what it's worth.  But I'll admit, we don't have it posted up yet, so the activity is a little sluggish on that front.  Trying to work on motivating our guys to use it more.

Yes, I know what you mean--ours sits empty a lot--but with the EA SWBF, things should liven up again.  I have a ts3 token for 1000 slots...  ;)

Hey guys, I figured I should post here too. Delta runs the BFC site but I do help out with it. I have an account on here from a year or so ago when we found out GameSpy was going to go down. Led and Oldsnake (who I got confused with Snake) were extremely nice and helpful in giving me information and testing some small stuff with me. It was you guys that eventually led me to the GameMaster forums, and I was able to get them to support PS2, which stays up to this day. Both of you were thanked in my guide as a result:

If you register there I can tag your accounts  ;) .

Anyway I'm happy you guys are doing good and we will be playing with you on the next game for sure. The BFC will have our usual summer tournament, Season 12, on PS2 starting at the end of May. When the new game comes out we're gonna host tournaments on PS4 at first while we figure out a good ruleset and get stabilized. Once we know people on the other platforms and have a good idea about the game it is possible that we'll have competitions on PC and Xbox1 too.
