Thanks Led. I've got 95 ping, the same as Ententeich. Now I have no excuse for being a bad sniper.  ;)

Edit: Do you have the newer maps on filefront like this one? http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com/file/Malastare_Gran_Compound;120874 I couldn't see it.

It's been a while since I played BF2 and that was offline but I prefer Geonosis:spire. The map on BF2 just added some more buildings that didnt really improve the gameplay. Although I don't really like either as they give too much advantage to vehicles, unless you can get behind them. :)

I'll miss the server, I got some abuse on it for being PLA :) but it was a good server and the one I always had the best ping on. Hopefully someone can host another server it's always good to have a variety of servers with different groups of players and rules/play styles.

It didn't work for me but if you're using windows 7 professional or ultimate you can try using windows xp mode.

If I you need any comparisons this is the same problem I have with ZE (I can launch Bfbuilder but have other problems there :) ) I'm using a Nvidia Gtx 580 and I remember reading somewhere that ZE doesn't like Nvidia.

I actually liked the prequels although there are quite a few hilariously bad bits. I would have to chose Revenge of the Sith overall because of the fight/battle scenes, the variety of planets and species and they way it tied tha saga together. Saying that I liked the parts in 1 and 2 where we got to see more of the day to day life in the Star Wars universe especially in number 1 where the sets actually existed as opposed to being a box and a green screen. Hopefully we can see more of that in the (underworld?) tv series if it gets made.

I always used to like playing the standard trooper at Mos Eisley in singleplayer and that was my favourite map but because lag limits the rifle so much online I like them both equally now. Although they do both give advantages to jets especially at the start. :)

General / Re: IPv6

Typing IPCONFIG gives me an IPv6 address that includes numbers and a % symbol so I'm not sure how that would affect things. I read before that the two systems should be compatible though so lets hope so :)

Just a thought but I'm assuming this works by adding an extra few numbers to IP adresses. So when these new longer adresses become more common what happens on older games and things like gamespy that won't be updated. Will people still be able to log? Will booting still work on SWBF?

Can you check it out, and, if you find what the matter of this problem, post a tutorial for them?
I'm not an expert on any of this so I can't help much sorry. I downloaded your (very nice :) ) Tantive IV conversion to try and it works fine for me on maximum settings and I also tried it with 29 maps in the addon folder and it still worked, although I am using a good P.C.
The only thing I can think of is that the actual Addon is called 007 but you released it inside another folder called Serejas Tantive so maybe people are copying this by accident instead of opening it.

I've seen/had a few people asking how to install mod maps so I thought I would write a guide to the basics for PC as I don't think there is one on here. So here goes....

1. To make downloading quicker mod maps can be compressed to make them smaller, when you download them you need to reverse this. This is the programs I use (remember to select the 32 or 64bit version depending on your computer):
Z-zip: http://www.7-zip.org/

2. To download from this website go to the downloads section, find the map you want, for this example I'll use Rends coruscant streets http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=327, and click the writing in the center near the top.
Depending on your browser and antivirus a box should appear asking what you want to do. Click save. When it finishes downloading either click open or if it doesn't show up go to my computer then go to your downloads section (usually in the menu on the right). You should now see a folder with the map name or something similar.

3. Right click on the folder then go to '7Zip' and click 'extract here' - this will give you a new version of the folder. You can delete the old one. DO NOT CLOSE THIS WINDOW

4.All downloaded maps go in the AddOn folder of your swbf game. To find this there are two ways;
A. The easiest way is to right click on the desktop icon you use to play SWBF, click open file location, Gamedata then Addon.  This folder should already have another folder called TAT3 in it. Do not delete this it's Jabbas palace.

B. If you can't do that because you don't have a shortcut or for some other reason this is the long way to get there; My Computer/Computer-Local disk-Program files(or Program files (x86) if you are using 64 bit windows)-LucasArts-Star Wars Battlefront- Gamedata-Addon. This folder should already have another folder called TAT3 in it. Do not delete this it's Jabbas palace.

5.  You should now have two windows open; one containing the folder you downloaded and one with your addon folder which contains Tat3. To install the map just drag the folder corus2 into the addon folder. Note: Some downloads like this one come with the important files in another folder. To make sure you copy the right folder open it by double clicking and see if it contains 2 files; Data and addme script. This is the folder you need to copy.

6. Close all open windows then launch SWBF where you will find Coruscant Streets added to your map list so you can play it in singleplayer or with anyone else who has the same map installed.

Notes.
Do not place more than about 20 maps in your addon folder it may cause problems playing mod maps.
If you delete your game maps in the addon folder will also be deleted.
This guide is not for Mac users so sorry if parts don't work for you.
The majority of maps are safe but make sure you only download from trusted websites to avoid viruses.
Here is a guide to many of the available mod maps http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=310.0

If I've missed anything out or made a stupid mistake let me know below otherwise I hope this helps a few new players :)

The latest rumours are it won't be out on this generation of consoles but I think thats just based on looking at the graphics. Also LucasArts have said there will be no quick time events :)
