I think you play as Kyle Katarn in all the dark forces/jedi knight games (except for jedi academy where he only appears in some missions).

I used to play those games all the time until i scratched my disc  .   Its a shame theres never been a sequel no 'modern' games have come close to the lightsaber combat in Jedi academy. They could even bring back those cut scene actors from the first games (I still think they were just developers in fancy dress).

Hi just a quick two quetions if anyone can help; first does anyone know of any free software to open .RAR files and also im currently using 1.2 (best of p.c. disc) and was wondering if there was any advantages/disadantages in upgrading to 1.3. Thanks.

You need to copy the files you downloaded to the addon folder. For me it's: my computer - hdd (hard drive) - program files - lucasarts - battlefront - game data - addons (it might have a folder called tat3 in it). I usually just drag from one window to the other. Then you just start the game and the maps should be there.

I don't want to state the obvious but are you logged in when you look for the downloads. If you can download them but not use them maybe you need a program like 7zip (its free).

Thanks but I can't click on them at all. I only get options by right clicking near them.

Hi I just downloaded the PLA mod map night files but i can't move them to the add on folder or acess them (even the readme) the only option that shows up is 'extract all' but when i try this it says acess to compressed (zipped) folders is denied and that i need to change permissions. I've had this problem with some other map downloads. I'm using vista and have 7-zip if this is needed.
Any help would be appreciated.

       Hi i'm gdh92 (same name on battlefront and xfire). I came online to play battlefront a few months ago after playing offline on the ps2 for about 5 years. I'm running vista with a very slow (anywhere between 0.1 and 0.7) internet connection so battlefront is one of the few non laggy games i can play online. But it's also the best If you want to know anything else just ask...
