To be fair EA have sorted themselves out recently with fallen order and squadrons but if they're going to give the rights to whichever studio will do the best job that's even better. I've got my fingers crossed for Obsidian.

For anyone who hasn't got the latest battlefront game it will be free on Epic games store from the 14th for a week. There's no catches with their free games, you just need the launcher installed and you should see battlefront 2. You can download any time after you add it to your account.

I come here to play a 16 year old game, preferably Cloudcity, for the 1000th time. You can't scare me with change like this! 

Seriously though, thanks for keeping everything working, as soon as I work out how to get a white background I'll be happy, and everything seems to work for me.

Looks good. I think Pandemic missed an opportunity by not having an expanded indoor map at echo base. It just needs a secret room with a wampa. 😉

Yeah, I think it's a problem with my account. Led changed a few of my permissions when we were transferring files so I expect it's something not ticked. I can see other downloads fine.

Do you know the map name? I've got a couple of hundred on my pc but they're all names like ENDD.

Welcome to the site, there's plenty of great mods here. Serejas are good ones to start with although you might have to turn down the graphics on older computers.

I saved up for a PS2 just to play it on, I've bought it another 3 times since but it's still been a bargain. I doubt 12 year old me could have predicted I would be still be playing it now, let alone with other players.

Interestingly I think the graphics and gameplay have aged very well compared to other games released around then.

About Team chat crashes. What parameters did you use for dedicated server? Or you connecting to any dedicated server, and if you as a client are trying to type somewhat in team chat, it crashes the server?

It's better than it used to be but if you stay on the server list too long or refresh it can freeze the whole game.

With dedicated servers, if anyone uses team chat it crashes the server.

The master server list still freezes but not often now. The single biggest issue for me is that you can't use dedicated servers because teamchat crashes them.

Gametoast blocks some countries unfortunately so you might need a VPN to access it.

I played it and really liked it. It was like having the single player star wars games of the mid 2000s back and the original (to me) gameplay was a nice change from what I've played recently.

When I started in 2011 there were probably 50 servers and 120-150 players at peak UK time and that was down to 80 in 2014. There would usually be 20-30 in  PLA cloudcity server and similar in one of the European all map servers like ententeich, cupbears server or pic arena with the rest spread out.

The servers were all stable then as well, more than most modern games, so you could play for an evening without worrying. With hindsight my 30+ hours a week for a while was probably a bit much but I regret nothing.
