If you can get such a thing installed and its not a virused up copy, it won't work with GoG servers, but it would work with our own SWBFspy servers.

I suggest you go legit and buy a copy from ebay if steam and GoG versions are not available to you.

SWBF2 Modding / Re: How to create a user_script_X.lvl file?

Look in Sleepkiller's assets, and/or use the search function to find forum posts.  There was a lot of work on it back in the day.

And when people don't answer your posts, it is because we don't have any information for you.  Although we encourage SWBF2 modding, we don't have as many SWBF2 experts here.  Gametoast is a good SWBF2 source.

I don't know how to make a skin changer but others have released their assets for SWBF1.  SWBF2 is usually very similar.  I'm not familiar with x.lvl file.

Striker--One of the greats!

It was always fun when you and copperhead were on different teams.

When you were both on the same team, it was too unfair!

Glad you stopped by, don't be a stranger.  Believe it or not, I have not fired up SWBF in a few months.  But I do want to see our community live  ;)

The release of SWBF on steam has helped.  And there are still modders making great maps.  There are things from our era of gaming that have gone away never to be seen again in any new games.  The community of players was always the best part.

Let me know if you want to fire up the game and I will join you.

Are you running on a PC?  What are the specs?

Somewhere is a list of games that Kalle got to work.  After that, no one has gotten others to work, but to be fair, I am not sure who was doing the trying.

DP has completed compiled Kalle's source on his own, and he may be able to add functionality.

It is quite possible that is an issue if GR intercepts gamespy.com traffic.

You will have to use your original game disk and install  the game or else search the internet for what you seek.

this is not pog please fix because this looks good http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=183

Fixed, but I had to zip a sitx file.  You will not likely be able to uncompress the sitx file.  Look for other napseeker maps.

You might check your router.  It might be smart enough to mess up the routing, if you know what I mean.

the computer is fine--maybe the wine is the issue.   Hard to say.

Are you on wireless or wired?  If wireless, sometimes that is an issue as well.

13
also make sure various software firewalls are off and appropriate permissions are given for the executable to access the internet (more of an issue for windows machines, but could also be in other cases as well)
