Hey guys!
As you guys all know, all the MP servers we host on both SWBF1 and SWBF2 Steam-GoG MP platforms are running with community tools. SWBF2 is far more stable than SWBF1 and has an improvised "dedicated server software", however, for SWBF1 there is nothing but a client executable file and a batch file.
The SWBF1 GoG/Steam multiplayer is not stable, and servers will not show up after about 24h, which means they need to be restarted to be shown in the server browser.
Originally I just programmed the batch file to kill the task and restart every day, however, it happened twice that players were in the server and it got restarted. This made me realize that the solution wasn't as efficient (or the most convenient) to solve the issue, so I just cut off that part and restarted myself.
I usually restart servers every day -- I might forget some days, so if you see that our servers are not showing, it is not because we have decided to stop hosting them. Please let us know and we'll restart them ASAP.
