General / Pokemon Go Hype?!
« on: July 12, 2016, 09:34:45 AM »
So i recently got Pokemon GO, and i must say its tons of fun. Involves plenty of excercise and is genuinely fun to play. If u have it, how long have u played it? You addicted? If you don't have it, are you going get it? (I recommend it). Seems like this was a very smart marketing innovation from Nintendo, they've seen a surge of $7.5 Billion since initial release!!!

For me it's got to be between Darth Vader and Snoke. I'm going to go with Snoke, mainly because i like the mystery that surrounds him. Is he Darth Plageuis the Wise? The most knowledgeable being of the Dark Side? Idk, but i sure do hope he is!

SWBF 1 and 2 Tournaments / A New Kind of Tournament!
« on: October 22, 2015, 08:08:27 PM »
So what i am proposing is a 2v2 tournament with a twist. Each player that joins is given a number, they are then drawn a partner throigh random.org, the same thing happens for everyone that signs up. There will be a point system for the teams particitpating, their opponents will also be drawn randomly, each team will be expected to play 10 matches (i'm skeptical, could be more or less depending how many people want in), Maps included would be: Bespin Cloud City/Rhen Var Citadel/Tatooine Mos Eisley. Again the maps would also be randomly assigned by me or any other admins that are online at the time. All admins involved in this tournament will be able to use random.org to assign opponents and maps. However, Only I have the power to assign teams. Tickets would be either 35 or 50, i haven't decided yet. The partner you are assigned is final, don't ask/bug me to be reassigned please! I want to know who would he interested in this type of tournament before i post any Official Information/Rules. I will however need help running this tournament. PM me if you'd like to help run the tournament. Let me know ASAP in this thread if you are interested! I think this would be a very fun and different tournament.

Star Wars Battlefront / Problems Launching SWBF
« on: August 27, 2015, 07:50:33 AM »
Essentially what is happening is the game is now failing to launch. Here is what happens in point form.
-I click the SWBF.exe to open up the game
-A black screen appears, giving me the impression the game will run
-After seeing this black screen briefly for a matter of seconds, i then return to my desktop
-I retry it, restart my computer many times, and retry, i even do a hard reset, nothing is working.

Notes: It was working fine since installation, and i used the game last all day yesterday without issue.

SWBF1 Modding / Issue with making Side.lvl ?
« on: August 20, 2015, 03:51:10 PM »
Hi there, Everytime i go into gimp, i change the Lightness and Saturation it gives me a purple/pink kind of color, when i want a red color. So i go back into gimp and change the Saturation and Lightness export it as , munge, put the imp.lvl in the Side folder, and yet it remains the same pink/purple color. Any idea of what i could do to fix this?

Star Wars Battlefront: EA Reboots 1 and 2 / SWBF Reboot Pictures
« on: July 05, 2015, 01:53:13 PM »
Here's a little look into what the Alpha was. My personal opinion is that they have outdone themselves with the reboot. It is incredible. The graphics, weapons, destructible environments, and the overall feel for the game is immense, it is definitely on par with the original SWBF in my personal opinion.

Anyone heard of such a game? It's loads of fun, you are hunting dinosaurs with weapons from a bow and arrow to a .50 Cal. The dinosaurs include: Tyrannosaurs Rex, Velociraptor, Utahraptor, Quetzcoatlus, Triceratops. Its a FPS/RPG.

SWBF 1 and 2 Tournaments / SWBF Leaderboards 2 Official Thread
« on: July 28, 2014, 08:50:04 AM »
TO SIGN UP POST ON THE LINKED THREAD ------> http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=8056.0

If you want to take part in the SWBF leaderboards please sign up below as an individual 2. Hopefully we can get a good number of players and have some good games. The rules are below.

Rules and outline:
The swbf leaderboards tournament will be for individuals will start on August 9th.

The people to join will be be given random numbers to order them in the scoreboard. If you want to move up in the rankings you need to challenge someone within 3 places of you(for example number 7 can challenge 6, 5 or 4). If you win you take their place and they move down one. New players have to start at the bottom and work up.

Every player is expected to accept 2 challenges a week but there is no maximum. Admins will oversee any matches where a player requests it but both players can agree to no admins before matches. If you want screenshots from the other player you can also arrange this before the match. There would be a time limit of 30 minutes per match for individuals (then first kill wins for ties). There will be no CP bleed (meaning reinforcements will only go down with kills and CPs can't be captured. Ticket count will be 25-25.

The defender would choose the era and map from (other maps here) and Mos Eisley with the condition that 2 people cannot play the same map twice in a row. The attacker would choose the team. Gameplay would be capturing cps but no special units for the sake of balance, there will be no AI, also defender chooses, whether the map is to be played in both 1.0 and 1.2 versions.

Maps: Seeing as to there were no suggestions, the three maps will be Mos Eisley: Cantina, Rhen Var Citadel, and Yavin 4: Arena

1.Screenshots must be taken of all scores.
2.Mods are allowed including: Skins, Custom Reticules, and Radar/Minimap (Only if both players agree to it, radar can be distributed if you PM me)
3.No cussing/swearing
4. Let the Admin(s) deal with disputes (Do not become a mini-moderator)
5.Remember this just a game so be nice and play fairly with other players.
6.No challenging the same player more than 2 weeks in a row.
7. Be courteous with your opponents
8. No tanks, recon droids
9.If an admin is requested for a match the match must start within 10 minutes of the proposed time. It will  then start regardless of how many players are present.
10.Matches are based on the position of the players before the match not the leaderboard. Example: If player 5 beats 4 he is then out of range of player 8 even if the leaderboard has not been updated yet. Its not as confusing as that sounds.
11. Challenges must be accepted within 6 days and played 2 days after that or you will be moved below the challenger.
12.Any arguments over matches must be posted the same day

Penalties for breaking these rules will normally take the form of a place drop.
