Gametoast

Link to Gametoast.com's robust FAQ section where they detail the ins and outs of modifying SWBF2.  The thread is a compilation of things that they have learned and developed over the years.  It should be your first visit if you need help with something not covered by the shipped documentation.

Welcome to the FAQ/Everything You Need Thread v2.0 since v1.0 decided to take the red pill.
From the first line from that link. What does red pill mean?

It's a reference to "The Matrix"....

Welcome to the FAQ/Everything You Need Thread v2.0 since v1.0 decided to use The Matrix....??

I'm confused

Winrar.

Too bad I don't have mod permissions here. This post is so stupid to need yet... needed.

I believe there used to be a v1.0 on gametoast but it evolved over the years of their coverage of SWBF2 modding.

Hmmm, I think this thread should be reserved for all the important FAQ threads.

We just have to get a few tutorials built up first, and I may even start to right my own.

@Elite

Well, that is what that thread is for. It takes all of the useful information over the years and mashes it into one organized thread to prevent the same questions being asked (doesn't stop people from asking them but it gives a reason to yell at people who do).

--------------

Considering Elite's past 7 or what not attempts at bringing information from GT to here, I think this should be sticky'd just because that GT thread itself and it is in a reliable enough server. There is no immediate need or probably any right to copy/paste/modify all of its information here.

If for some magical reason there's something new or updated from GT within SWBF II and modding.... yeah feel free to update us.

Hey I'm new to the site with no modding experience. I was wondering what program you need to mod.
Crazy people do not know they are crazy. I know that I am crazy, therefore I'm not crazy!! Isn't that crazy?!?

BF2 Mod Tools, I do believe it comes with the game on installation.. You can get it separately of course.

It's a rather large download.. Sadly we don't have very many members here that know how to do stuff for BFII (I can't compile/munge the mods on my Windows7 for SWBFII, so I've never gotten anywhere with it).

Thanks for the info :(
