SWBFGamers

This time, we're trying something new! Instead of having Mac vs. PC again, since we all know who wins, we're going to compete to see who is the best SWBF player around! This is how it works: you are automatically placed onto a team- you fight the opposing team, and we keep records of all the points earned by everyone and add them up at the end to determine the best player. That way, everything's fair. There's no way to place yourself on one team or another, and there is no unbalanced teams or anything like that.

Scoring will work like this:
1 kill = 1 point
1 death= -.5 point
1 CP= 1.5 points

So if you get 20 kills, 5 deaths, and 1 CP, then your score is 20-2.5+1.5. This comes out to be 19.

None of those are my fault. 8PM on a Saturday is perfectly reasonable for Europeans. It's 10PM for you, assuming you're in CEST. I would say that that is a reasonable time- also, it was the time of the last PW, which you made.

If I my Mac back from Apple before the 17th, I'll definitely be there. I haven't played SWBF in... a long time but it doesn't matter, I'll try to be there.

Usually, the host or maybe Jedikiller in this case takes screenshots of the scores for the maps, and then adds up the points accordingly. The screenshots are also posted, so if you want to double check the math you may.

And the New Zealand time zone is 12 hours ahead of GMT, so that's 9AM April the 18th !

CST is in Daylight Savings Time, which means we go forward an hour. We are now GMT -5.

Hm, Saturday will probably be a hard day for me to remember. :P Cause MF's home, which means I'll not be getting on MPC to talk to him via PMs. Not to mention I'll be having something basically right up until the tourney starts, so I suspect I'll be thinking about that rather than tourneys. :( Well, one can always hope.  8)

Due to unforseen consequences, I'll probably not make it, however I will try to make something work.

Hey, just saying that I'm looking forward to it. What are the rules of the event? As in 1.2 units (all units) or 1.0 (trooper, rocket, and sniper only)?

Just play it like a normal game, so 1.2 units then. Rules of the forum do apply as well, so keep that in mind. :)

Was a fun tourny, maybe next time we do one, we do with teams? And they fight against each other for the crown. Single elimination? I prefer 1.0 no tk, but I guess yall dont like sniping  ::)

Sniper is way overused. I prefer some variety. TK will be off next time we do a scoring-based tournament.

We have done teams in the past- this is a change from that. We might try to do something else in the next tournament we have.

Jon, your ping was 120.

If you lag with that ping, it has nothing to do with the server--that means it is fixable by doing things on your end.

Just as I figured with a Direct connect server. DC=CC which stands for cool connection.

I know on fueling station it was just the map; it even laged in SP.  Maybe for eddies it was just the urban layout.  All other maps were fine.

Are we going to be doing this again? I would enjoy sharpening my old skillz, I'm pretty sure I would get a high score. Is this a CP battle or a kill battle?

Jon, then the problem is probably your computer's ability to handle the game. Maybe you're overusing your computer. Turn all graphic settings to low.

I'm pretty sure they are.  My computer is also extremely low; i'll be upgrading to a newer PC soon.
