unit flew outside world error

is it possible to increase the distance you can fly outside of the map ? Message Severity: 2

hi wsa30h
make a back up copy of your map. load the back up copy into hex editor look for   42 6F 75 6E 64 61 72 79 change it to 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 and save.
this will remove the boundary on the map so troops can go outside the boundry. test the map see if the error remains.

thanks snake i will get back to you if it works. ok it seems hex editor cant find the value.

I can confirm that on a mod map I made here the entry is missing aswell.

so do i put this into the munged map or the wld and i presume i put it under hex value ? is it possible to hex edit the zero editor exe instead ?

I am not sure. it seems entry of the boundary is not munged into the lvl file. It is in stock maps so I figured it would work on a mod map as well.

interesting there must be other ways to go beyound 256 by 256.

Just munged a stock map this is what was found  62 6F 75 6E 64 61 72 79 change it to 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 and save. The jets can leave the battlefield now.

hey oldsnake this only removes the boundary but doesent allow you to go past the very edge of the map.

Hi is it possible to put in the barriers like seen in the pic so jet cannot leave the battlefield.

yes that is possible i wanted to go make a map twice as big as the default but you just dissapear if you walk too far and its hardcoded so it cant be changed

That's great if you can build those around the map it will keep them inside the battlefield.

yes its very simple just build a boundary in zero editor.
