When is the 212 vs Elk match on Bespin!?!?

On Oven's ICW calendar, it says that the battle will be at 1PM EST.
Since ELK is the defending clan, we choose Clone Wars as the era and Republic as the side for both maps.

I think my internet has stopped intermittently disappearing and I don't need to help move today, and don't expect the thunderstorms to be big, so I think I can cover for either Wild or Jamman today in case either gets tired and should be able to join Wild tomorrow.

Before the second game began, a member--or perhaps members--made a false start. A warning was given and he retreaded. It was then discovered that a mine had been left, so this--or another 212 member--went to destroy it.  The issue is whether going out to destroy a mine constitutes a second false start, or if it was the "continuation" if you will, of one false start.  Given that no direct advantage was obtained, I do not think 212 should be penalized.

All battle results are upheld, that is:

212 takes Bespin
The false start was amended before the battle began and had no effect on the outcome. A reminder: no mines may be laid before the battle begins.

FC defends Dantooine

GRC defends Yavin IV
GRC delayed this match by a substantial amount of time. Although they defend the planet, there will be a penalty: they may only attack 1 planet next week. In the future: A battle delayed by a given clan by 10 minutes results in this penalty for the clan. A battle delayed for 20 minutes by a given clan is a forfeit.

FC defends Kashyyyk


I would like to tell everyone this: You don't have to worry too much about hiding anything from the admins. There are a few of us and dozens of you. You have the entire other team to worry about. Believe me, if they see the slightest misstep they will record it several times over with screenshots, videos, and so forth. And it lands all over my screen within seconds.

I am confident that these issues have arisen primarily from lack of understanding and not because of actual ill intent. Please familiarize yourself with the rules if you haven't done so already.

I don't think that is quite fair. We had about 6 members waiting in the server for some GRC to come. At about 5 minutes after, 2 of them left. At 9 minutes after the first GRC showed up, then another at 10 minutes after the battle was going to initially start. Scorpion messaged me asking for me to tell him if GRC shows. My xfire stopped responding for a while, and at about 20 minutes after GRC had 3 members and Nixo (who thought he could be allowed to be a Mercenary for the battle) After 25 minutes of us waiting, GRC finally had 4 members. (one merc)

We gain nothing from their pentalty. It was a huge waste of time for our members. Not to mention that we were late to the Kashyyyk battle because of the issues.

I had 3 potential ELK and YAK members who wanted to try it out, after that battle they decided it was no fun and a waste of their time. GRC needs to tell their members about battles beforehand, not 5 minutes til they start. Several comments were made during the battle that this tourney was much like the GGCW, that's not a good thing.

If the other clan benefited from an offending clan's penalty, the opportunity for corruption would be clear.

Not to mention that we were late to the Kashyyyk battle because of the issues.

ELK is not YAK and the FC match should not have been delayed because several YAK could not make it.

The fault in this case clearly lies with GRC and not with us, with the exception that Scorpion should have not let the Yavin battle be delayed for so long. For his first day I would say he did pretty dang well. It will not happen in the future, because no battle will be delayed by over 20 minutes.

Several comments were made during the battle that this tourney was much like the GGCW, that's not a good thing.

I cannot respond to vague, anonymous intimations. (The tournament structure is still open to democratic alterations, if anyone wants to make suggestions.)

I would just like to reiterate the fact that the Kashyyyk battles were delayed for over an hour because of an insufficient amount of ELK players. If the opposing clan doesn't show up for a certain amount of time, an automatic forfeiture should be declared for wasting the other clan's time. I'm sorry but my daily schedule is fully crammed with other activities besides Battlefront, so please start battles on the dot in the near future, not an hour later....
