Requests / Convert Rey to SWBF1 Request
July 17, 2021, 10:48:28 AM
Hello,

Is anyone able to convert this model to work with SWBF1, please? This asset is currently for SWBF2 and I know nothing about modeling. Currently, it says "no collision geometry" when munging for SWBF1 and the character model is all kinds of janky.

The link below is to the asset file

SWBF2 Modding / Lightsaber Damage
July 05, 2021, 05:54:01 PM
Hello,

I am trying to change the lightsaber damage in SWBF2 and haven't had much luck. I tried to go into com_weap_lightsaber ODF and add in something like "MaxDamage = " or "Damage = " but with a value. My mod tools have this ODF in a SIDE folder and a COMMON folder. Not sure if I am supposed to munge sides or common for this? When I munge sides, it doesn't seem like the damage changes. My mod tools (from gamefront) also don't produce a common.lvl file when I munge. I have tried a common.lvl builder and when I install the new common.lvl file, it crashes the game on start up. Any help?

Yes, I am a Steam player. I downloaded "SWBFSpy_SWBF1_Patch-SteamPlayers" and also tried using the SWBF1Spy installer.

When I try to run the SWBFspy.exe for SWBF1 download, I get the loading screen, and shortly after, my screen just goes black with only my mouse cursor showing. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Are 1A9985 and 1A94B2 still the right offsets? I am not seeing an 05 value in either spot.

SWBF1 Modding / Re: Mission.lvl edit not working

I made my own Jedi mod where I was the only one who could pick the Jedi class, added lightsaber deflection and changed the FOV. I also ran into an issue where I was being ignored as the hero by NPCs, but I discovered a small fix. Essentially, the NPCs will attack you if you have an AI hero on your team activated.

So for example: When it comes to instant action mode, turn on Instant action heroes. For galactic assault, choose the Jedi bonus and for campaign missions, play a mission where your team has a hero bonus activated. (or mod each mission to have the hero bonus activated for every mission) The NPCs will now attack you.

Unfortunately, this means that you will not be the only hero on the map. You will have 1 other hero on your team and, in the case of instant action, the enemy team will have a hero.

I believe the NPCs aren't registering that you are actually the hero if you don't have the actual AI hero on your team. I am not sure how to fix this but thought I would offer some sort of fix.
