SWBF1 Modding / Why BF1 not BF2?

Hey all, Just curious as to why there is so much more people interested in battlefront 1 instead of 2? The game has a lot less features than BF2 so I just seems odd to me.

Also is it possible to port maps from other games to battlefront and if so how would one go about this?

Hi all.

Just wondering if its possible to connect two maps together? Say Geo from BF1 and GEO from BF2? i dont understand the terrain in Zero Editor.

Hi I'm trying to learn how to get custom models in game.

ive got as far as getting the models and textures in game so the unit is functional. but its still t-posed. I cant find anywhere how to rig the models??

Any help would be appreciated

Hi,

I'm trying to get rep_inf_ep3heavytrooper exported from the viewer as vmrl but it crashes on export and gives me a copy that is not texture mapped. any idea how to stop it from crashing?

Hi all,

1. Just wondering if anyone can figure out why i cant spawn or move a capital ship that i paste in as a group on Polis Massa?

2. how can i get the Battlefront 1 Reticule on Battlefront 2? The battlefront 2 one is very big and clunky.

Hi all, I'm trying to port this map but when entering the game my custom map appears twice on the maps list and also when i spawn ingame there is no map or command post to spawn at. Any tips on what is wrong?

Hi all,

I'm trying to add vehicles to Kamino? anyone have any idea how one would get them to spawn. I've followed every step yet rep_fly_gunship_sc & imp_fly_trooptrans just wont spawn? is there any extra requirements for spawning the gunships?
  • Added to LUA
  • Added Control zone
  • Added ship to vehicle spanner

Am i missing anything?

Does anyone have the problem of zeroeditor crashing. its the reason i quit modding this game. i cant make any progress! any tips to stop this?

EDIT: okay so i got my vehicle to work. question is.. how do i work out what the texture is?

is it possible to add a custom mission on ps2 disc? like in instant action? if not can i edit a default instant action mission for the ps2?

Hello everyone.

im having a hard time finding people who actually reply to my threads and its really annoying because i cant find any solutions to any of my probelms..

so anyway i have edited Hoth and none of my vehicles are spawning. anyone got any idea why they wont spawn?





P.S. also if anyone can figure out why when i add my map to to instant action and it adds 2 of the same thing instead of one that would be great. thanks

hello everyone so i have tried to edit a battlefront model. but it is using two textures. when putting it into the swbf viewer it shows all parts using the one texture. how do you separate these? (arms and legs)

so i have taken a custom side from a unmunged mission made by someone else. i am trying to get that side to munged i made the necessary folders in _BUILD/Sides but still the side doesn't munge when its told me it has.. how can i fix this?

Hey its been a while since ive posted. was wondering if its possible to import-export .msh from blender yet. or what is the easiest way to make a non bf2 model work in battlefront 2?
