What would you like to be and what would you probably be?

I would be torn between a Jedi and a Mandalorian.. Maybe I could be a force sensitive Mandalorian warrior that later becomes a Jedi.  :happy:

But, I'd probably be some kind of soldier, depending on the time period. I'd definitely join up with the Rebels.

SWBF1 Modding / [HELP] Local Limit?

For some reason I am having severe problems on trying to add a 4th local side. I remember seeing somewhere that you can go up to 7 or 8 but I have checked everything and all my .lua codes are set up right, and my CP is set up right. Every time I try to play the game with this 4th local side the game just starts the victory count down. I've only seen this occur when I do something wrong in setting up a CP but I have quadruple checked everything, and even started from scratch with a different side file. If I take the CP and lua codes out everything works fine. Any ideas?

There are several vehicles that when given a regular prop odf their parts kinda go everywhere ingame. So I need help getting prop vehicles for the Museum. Some prop versions are already made but if a vehicle doesn't have a prop version then someone will have to make them. I can't do that in sketchup.

Vehicles:
LA-AT -I think there's already a prop in the utapau files so if anyone has the SWBF2 mod tools downloaded please upload it here
AT-AT -I know there's a prop for this somewhere but I can't remember
AT-TE
X-wing
MAF

Well, I put the finishing touches on my cantina, which is extremely simple, and now Wings3D won't covert it for no apparent reason. Could someone with a different program try converting it to wrl? (I think vrml will work too)

Released Assets / SM-12 Hornet

Here is my really cool looking Snake-Made 12 Hornet. It was my first vehicle that didn't have a ton of problems. But it could use some upgrading with extra passenger seats and things, which I don't know how to do. Anyway, it flies good, the camera looks good, and the weapons work good. So, I give you the Hornet!

Alright, so I have some lame-ish models hanging around from project that got scratched like Ilum. I have decided to release all of these to the public, I'm sure theres some cool ones in there that can be used. I will release my main successful vehicle (the Hornet) separately.

SWBF1 Modding / One more update

Alright guys.. As you can see, I have really burned out at about the same time as usual. The Museum really worked me good. I have decided to cancel all my other little projects like Ilum and obviously that Christmas map that I was going to do. (Sorry, Unit) Now I am going to solely finish the Museum, out of pure determination and respect for the years of fun this game has brought me. I hope when it is finally finished you all will give me one final joy by spreading the word and getting as many people as possible to play it. I want even former SWBF players to reinstall the game just to try it and remember the past. Right now Sleepkiller is working on the map so together we will finish this massive project and get it out for you guys to enjoy.

After this map I think I am really done. With college coming up and commitments to the army and school taking most of my time, I think I won't be able to mod anymore. Also, this game has served us better than any other I've seen in my life, but I think it is time for me to leave it, as it seems it is mostly in the grave already. So, with one final push I'm going to finish the Museum. Wish me luck!

In other news, how awesome would it be if you could shoot open the atst hatch and take it over?

Requests / Working Minigun Turret

I can't remember where I got a minigun turret that rotated correctly and everything but I know there's one out there somewhere! Anyone know where?

But for some reason when you turn, only the player turns, instead of the turret turning.

SWBF1 Modding / [HELP] Terrain Issues

So, I raised up one hill on Hoth. One hill. and terrainmunge kept crashing. So I reloaded the stock hoth terrain and it won't even save it. It says it cannot write the terrain file. If it means anything, I've been putting in a flat terrain for when I need to do planning or hintnodes in tunnels. But I've used that forever so idk why it would crash now.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA, I decided to look at the stock hoth.ter properties and it was set at READ ONLY! So I unchecked it and it works now. Still doesn't explain why the other was crashing but HA! IN YOUR FACE MOD TOOLS CURSE!

SWBF1 Modding / SWBF Museum Beta Testers Needed

Alright, I have an unfinished version of the SWBF Museum ready for people to test. I need 2 beta testers (Unit 33, RC, SK, Sereja, and Led will be the other mandatory testers.) Walk through the museum, test all the units and things, etc. Here's a format of the PM that I would like you to send after you thoroughly test the map:

-Info to add to museum
-Units/weapons/vehicles to add
-Props to add to general map
-Other
-Comments/conclusions

A few things to keep in mind: I know it is not finished, I know that there is a ton of info left out, I just need you to tell me what info you think needs to be added. I also don't think I have fixed the Phobos unit yet so don't use that or the map will crash. And the AI pathing is basically as good as it will get. I have used every trick in the book to fix it but there's only so much you can do on a map with settings such as this.

Also, see if you can find all the easter eggs after you have finished your review.

So, two people post here to join the review crew.

SWBF1 Modding / [HELP] Random vehicle spawning question

If I put vehicle files in the world folder of a map, added it to the .req, placed vehicle spawns in the map and referenced them all to that vehicle for all teams, would it spawn? (Assuming memory pools and everything were set up right) The main question is, will vehicles spawn from a vehicle_spawn if it is only in the world file?

SWBF1 Modding / Discovery?

So I was placing water on a map and I accidentally right clicked. Well, all the water under that area disappeared!! I didn't even know that was possible!! I thought it was way more complicated to remove water. I've never heard anyone mention this, but I remember asking about it one time and getting really complicated answers. Anyway, if someone knew this already, you're just selfish for not telling me!  :dry: But it's a cool discovery for me.  :P
